Erik was actually my main reason of playing Animal Crossing. New Leaf is my first game and I barely started playing last week. I came across a tumblr post, something like a villager trade, and I thought, "Woah! This deer is so cute." And then I started looking up Animal Crossing, read and read and researched, and finally got convinced that I want to start playing. On the villager trade post, they wanted top-notch villagers (such as Merengue, Julian, Marshall, etc.) and I didn't have any of those as my starter villagers. I restarted, hoping to somehow have Merengue and the others (and of course, Erik), as my starter, but no luck; until the 'trade' ended. As of now, I don't have any other villagers I want more than Erik.
