I've got 3 shinies. Golbat I found in a cave, Ponyta I found at the GTS (the person offering it wanted a Scyther...so I ran out, caught one, and bada-bing, got myself a ponyta).

...And a shiny, level 100 Palkia that someone traded me...

...Preettttyyy sure that one isn't legit.

But back on the EV topic...

So, breeding/natures have nothing to do with EV training, then? That has more to do with "IV"?
Correct.

When a pokemon egg hatches, it get's a nature and an IV in every stat.

EV training is a way of actually training the pokemon.
Is IV training really beneficial, like EV training is?

Cuz', I figure, I may as well do both. I've got time.
you can't IV train lol but it helps EV training i think (gain more stats i think :S) but you need IVs a certain way if you plan on using hidden power
Don't get me started on Hidden Power.

Hardest. Thing. Ever

If a pokemon has a good IV in the stat it's being trained in, you'll beat the crap outta people. :p
You'd be surprised how many people breed for good IVs and natures then EV train.
I want to EV train my Gallade because I want it to have good attack and good speed but EV training doesn't seem to change his speed only HP and attack.... My Drifblim is unEV trained and has 400 HP o_O

can help a lot though, if your pokemon can't learn a ice attack for example, hidden power is always there :p

If you've got the time (and can stand the boredom) you should IV breed.

Basicly, whenever an egg hatches it get's given six number (one for each stat) from 0 to 31. For every one IV, the Pokemon get's an extra point in that stat at Lv100.
SILVER OBEY ME AND EV TRAIN MY UNEV TRAINED POKEMON THAT I WANT EV TRAINED SOMETIME!

Ahem.

And Mega, Some pokemon have stupidly high HP.

1. Gallade isn't that fast

2. Drifblim's Hp stat is naturally VERY high.

3. There is a limit on how many EVs one pokemon can have. Gallade might have hit the limit.

I would just keep battling the elite four

I've read a ton of stuff, and I still don't really get IV's.

I've been breeding Ghastly, and so far the one to come out with the best stats is a "Relaxed" one. It's got 6 attack, and 5 speed...but there's another one (I think it might be "bashful") who's got 5 attack and 6 speed...

What's better here...speed, or attack? And does anything I just said have anything to do with IV's...?

Why does this have to be so confusing? ) ;

Hmmm... Grawr, I would say Speed.

Special Attack is Gastly's best stat.

While Attack is his worst.

that's why i think pokemon is so funny, people call it babyish and then there's IVs and EVs lol

but no o.o that's from the natures bashuful raised the speed and relaxed raised attack :p

Nature:
10% increase in one stat and 10% decrease in one stat

IVs:
IV of 0= No extra points in that stat at Lv100
IV of 1= 1 extra point in that stat at Lv100
IV of 2= 2 extra points in that stat at Lv100
Etc up to 31

EV training:
Whenever a Pokemon defeats another Pokemon in battle, it gains an EV point or points.

For every 4 EV points in a stat, you get one extra point in that stat at Lv100.

The Max EVs you can ahve in one stat is 255 (go for 252-last number that can be divided by four)

The Max EVs you can have in total is 510

So, to EV train, pretty much, you've just gotta' kill a ton of pokemon? Never pass up a trainer, etc..?

And thank you for that information...

Yes, but specific ones. Search "EV training locations" or something like that in Goolge.

There's also ways to speed EV training up. Also Google.

I don't like their attack locations >_<

I use the Super rod in one of the lakes (one with Azelf, forgot the name)

Always Gyarados or Seaking, both give two Evs in Attack.
