Are you guys going to make a little residential street for everyone or have them staggered throughout your island like previous games? I really want to make a street that they all live on... with little street lights. Ahhh I can?t wait!

I haven't made a decision yet, but I think I prefer having them scattered around so that the buildings stand by themselves in their spot. I really want to go with a modern tropical vibe, but I have no idea how that'll look like yet.

that’s a cute idea! i’m gonna have them scattered around the island as i like how that looks more ;u;

I'll put half of them in a row with natural dirt paths and bushes. If they have them.

i think i'm leaning towards having them in little groupings of 2 or 3, but more scattered around

I’ll be dividing them up into specific areas—most in small groups of 2-3—with maybe one or two on their own. I’d rather focus on giving each house a unique setting (with its location, outdoor furnishings etc.) than having them all tightly packed with a cohesive look.

I'm planning on making a 'rustic mountain village' with a hint of natural theming, so I'll be scattering villagers around the island.

That?s a really cute idea I didn?t really think about, giving them personality outside of their houses!
Maybe I need to broaden my idea to have some more individual space to decorate!

You can still create a residential street, just allow enough spacing for everyone to have their own yards.

Oh my gosh, you’re right. Little yards!! Then they can still have their little street lights.. with fences for their yards!

I want little streets, but small residential clusters. Like, not all of them in one chunk. That way there are a cok uple different little neighborhoods. Maybe one near a playground, while another is maybe near an orchard , another near stores. I dunno. I just don't want to feel like everything is in chunks, if that makes any sense?

Definitely, more like a little community all around!!

My plan is, assuming we are stuck with only 10 villagers again....

I will reset until I have a large island in the river where I will put my house alongside Molly and Poppy's houses. The other eight villagers will be split between two groups of four.

Although I've already created a map of my island, I am thinking of doing a residential, or a cul-de-sac type area that will be the hub for all my villagers houses. Then I would have room to freely decorate the island however I want without homes getting in the way. The only problem is, I need to figure out what I would do with the rest of the island if the villagers are now all in one place.

I want my villagers to be spread out so no part of my island feels empty, but I will have my villagers in groups of 2-3 throughout.

I like the idea of keeping things natural so I would spread the villagers and probably even the shops throughout the island. Ideally, I'd have everything fairly evenly distributed so it feels like everyone has their own space, but no one is too far away from everything else.

I really like the small villa community look. I'm thinking I'll have two or three homes in each residential space, with a shared "yard" area. I'm not sure how close to the beach we'll be able to put homes (although there have been a few clips with the tent right next to the water, so maybe beachfront is an option?), but I'd like to have a couple of beachfront communities, one in the forest area, and maybe one or two homes in the more residential spots.

I?m going to have two residential districts. Pretty close to each other but one will be on the second tier and the other will be on the first tier.

And if possible, I?ll have one villager on the beach.

I'd really like an area to be the islands overall neighborhood and other areas reserved for island locales/activities and of course an organized shopping district : ) Guess i'll plan as I go.
