I'm curious and would like to know which hippo villager is your favorite and why.
It's kinda sad that the hippo villagers aren't so popular than other species. I find them actually not that bad, kinda charming and funny. My favorites here are Hippeux and Bitty.
I love Bertha and Bubbles. I have both of them in my second town right now and they are a joy. Bertha's coloring is lovely (blue is my favorite color) and Bubbles is just so sweet. I used to have Bubbles in Sakura for a while too, so I was pleasantly surprised to get her as a starter in Nocturne.
I'm not particularly interested in Hippo villagers, but a few of them are okay.
I guess my favorite would be Hippeux. The hair goes well with the Beige Emblem Blazer shirt he starts out with, he has the Smug personality, his house looks pretty nice, and his name is simultaneously lazy and endearing enough that I don't mind.
I guess Bitty would be second favorite? Snooty is my favorite female personality type in these games, and Bitty seems decent enough in terms of design. Her home's interior design, meanwhile, is pretty underwhelming since it's just her RV furniture items scattered about without proper furniture like a bed or couch or anything to make it actually seem lived in. That said, while they don't make for a good looking home, the individual items are all pretty great.
Finally, guess I'll give an honorable mention to Harry. Not the best design out there, but it's at least not bland. I had him as a resident in one of my towns in the past, he was okay. While I'm not crazy about him, he's the only Hippo villager I've ever actually had as a resident, so that counts for something.
i'm gonna say none of the above for this one chief.
i like hippos irl (or baby ones at least, the adults are like the biggest jerks of the animal kingdom lmao) but their animal crossing designs are kinda weird and it's entirely because of their heads.
I really didn't like the hippos until I bought a used ACNL cartridge which still had a game save on it.Bubbles was one of the villagers in that game save's town(probably the ugliest ACNL town I've ever seen)and she was indeed very bubbly so I've had a Bubbles ever since(I also have Bertha and Biff...do all the hippos' names start with a "B"?).
I like Rocco and that probably has to do with having him in my village or because he's the coolest looking choice. I'd still prefer another crankies over Rocco because I'm not into Hippo villagers or maybe I just prefer the other crankies like Doby a lot more.
Hippos are not one of the most appealing villagers to me, but there are a few I like. Bitty, Bubbles, Clara, Lulu, and Rollo I like, but only because of their designs. I do like Bubbles though because I once had her for a short while in a town that was only a few days old and she was a starting villager. Her house is pretty cool though and that's all I will probably say about them.
I don't really like hippos but Bertha looks so cute, and she was one of the starters in my AC gamecube town, so special place in my heart! (And, I mean, lokk at her adorable eyes.)
