I was torn. I opened this thread thinking "I'm voting for elves"
But fairies! And mermaids. But mermaids are a not a leading magical species for me. I feel like fairies are most common! Elves are common and can be a large roll in their world. Elves are more relatable to me. But fairies are needed, they are a necessity in the magical realm. Without fairies there might not be any realms. I don't know. Giants are like mermaids to me because they make a fascinating tale once in a while. Cyclopes's freak me out. Nagi is like the devil as a serpent, no thanks. Vampires are mosquitos, and dragons are cool.

I voted for fairies 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️

whaat? no unicorns? if there was fawn Id pick that

Wait, you mean mummies aren't a magical species? They seem pretty magical to me.

Anyway, I voted for dragons. Seeing as the Dragon type is my favorite type of Pokemon and I love them in TV shows and movies, it was the natural choice. 😎

The only species I like from that list is the dragon, so it was an easy choice. You can’t go wrong with a dragon. I was also surprised not to see unicorns on this list, but my vote still would have been for dragons, so moot point.

A while back, I wrote a whole poetry collection about magical creatures (please don't roast me; I love to write, it is my passion and has helped me through tough moments in life). Here is one, called Mermaid Bones:

A pale crystal glitters in a deep sea cave,
Otherwise known as a mermaid's grave.
Silver stones glow
In the moonlight's wilted bloom,
Becoming the world we know,
Becoming quiet doom.
Ivory curls of foam engulf sand in water;
I hear the whisper of the sea's daughter.

When it comes to magical creatures or even creatures that are just lore based i tend to really love the spooky ones

Wendigos are probably my favorite! There’s also some really dope finnish lore creatures that are fun, cute, and spooky.

Out of the cuties I really love nordic ones like trolls, fairies, and dwarves. They’re just small and wholesome.

This was so hard to pick just one because I love all magical species, but I went with faeries which was my first thought before I even clicked on the link and read the poll options. Generally speaking, I'm semi-obsessed with wings so faeries get my vote for having gorgeous wings as well as being associated with nature.

I also love unicorns, Pegasus, mermaids, elves, dwarves, goblins, and dragons.

Vampires and werewolves are awesome too.

Dragons have my vote, but a lot of these are really neat and I like most of them. I think dragons are just super cool and pretty in basically all of their various interpretations, and I love seeing different takes on dragons, and designs for different species. I've got a few dragon plushes that I wouldn't soon part with too.
Unicorns would probably be my next pick (also magical and ~pretty~), followed by elves/fairies.

I like all of the creatures on the list about the same. My preference leans slightly towards ogres since I grew up with the Shrek movies as a child. Otherwise any of them could be my favorite.

Of this list, I chose centaur! Their biology really has me thinking hard... if a centaur gets pregnant, do they carry the baby in their human torso or in their horse torso? Where are their organs located, in the human torso or in the horse torso??? So many things to think about, and overall such a cool creature.

Outside of this group my favorite fantasy creature is an orc. I think orc tusks are super cute!

I love Fairies the most. I do love vampires and werewolves too though.
