Favorite Music Genre

Progressive/Jazz Rock (Especially Brass Rock)
Oldies/Soft Rock (I pair these together, because the Soft Rock I like is from the 70s, not what it became beyond)
Folk (especially Traditional/British)
Classical/Early Music

Heavy metal
Nu-Metal
tiniest bit of deathcore (can't stand it for the most part lol)
Post-hardcore
basically almost all kinds of rock/metal

And I like literally 4 songs that are K-Pop lmao.

Hard question for me because in my mind, a good song is a good song, regardless of what genre it comes from. I moreso just listen to songs I like rather than a specific genre. But I guess the majority of those songs are pop, rock, progressive rock, and Bollywood.

VGM (video game music)
Anime OPs/EDs (anime openings or endings)
Jazz music

That’s it.

Metal
Classic Rock
Classical

I don't really go into all of the sub-genres and don't even know most of their names. If it's any form of metal, I probably like it.

I notice a lot of people don't like to get into naming and labeling **** and whatnot but the thing is, I have Asperger's and by nature I am very observant and logical and whatnot so it's like almost IMPOSSIBLE for me NOT to go by label and genre and whatnot! That being said..

METAL! More specifically..
Heavy/classic metal
Power metal
Thrash Metal
Doom metal
Death Metal
Black Metal
Metalcore
Grindcore
Industrial metal
Progressive metal
and maybe a handful of other sub-genres. As for for other forms of music than metal, I like:
Psychedelic rock
Progressive rock
Jazz
Classical
Reggae
Electronic: downtempo, dubstep, industrial, etc.
Hard/blues rock
some punk/hardcore(depends...not really into that emo/screamo ****)

Sorry for getting so damn technical, lol. It's just how I am! xD

Metal
Rap
K-pop

I cycle through those three a lot, and kind of go in phases with each
Also a big fan of grimes and I?m not sure what category she falls under

I forgot to mention that I've also been listening to a lot of Japanese music lately. Most of it fits in the metal or rock categories...bands like Yousei Teikoku, Aldious, Malice Mizer, etc. But I'm also listening to a lot more Anime Openings and Endings, too. Plus, I love Kanon Wakeshima.

Have you ever listened to Crossfaith & Crystal Lake? I recommend them if you’re into the metal genre, they sing in English but they’re both Japanese. Both incredible live too!
