Pokémon Favorite Poké Ball Design?

Due to limited poll choices, I had to lump them into categories. Please choose the category with your favorite Poké Ball! Which Poké Ball is your favorite design? I think my personal favorite from the games is the Cherish Ball. I love the red and black color scheme as well as the way the engravings are made into the ball. Movie wise, I'd have to go with the Dark Ball. This was a really unique type of Poké Ball both in design and effect. The fact it could catch other trainers' Pokémon and influence their behavior to be more dark and twisted I always thought was cool as a kid.

I love the Dive Ball, but I’m biased because my favorite color is blue and I’m a huge fan of water type Pokémon. The design of the dive ball is really nice though! A close second for me would be the moon ball, which also happens to be a forum collectible!

I said 'other' just because I like the idea of Pokeballs having as many forms as the artists feel like making. From a technology standpoint, it makes sense that the ball is always capable of looking any way that you want it to. I've honestly been waiting for full customization of the balls as a feature in the games. I know we had stickers and special animations that would play in the past...but I would like full customization, regardless of the base design.

I picked Gen 2, as most of my favorites are in there, but I'll always have a soft spot for Gen 1 and my Gameboy Color. ❤

I love the Pokéballs introduced in the second generation. The love ball is my top favorite, next to the moon ball. I also love the premier ball, dive ball and luxury ball too.

My favourites are the Luxury Ball and the Premier Ball. Follwed by Moon Ball and Dive Ball.
Loved Gen 2 with all the Apricot Balls and their variety of Pokéballs. Hopefully new games will have a wider selection to choose from again, it's fun to match a Pokémon to a suitable Pokéball. My Umbreons are all in a Moon Ball for example <3

i’ll be honest and say that i’ve actually never played a pokémon game before lol, but the moon ball almost makes me want to. it’s such a cool design!

I chose Gen 2 because it introduced Apricorns, which lead to some pretty cool designs such as Heavy, Moon and Love Balls. Gen 2 is where Game Freak began to explore all kinds of Poké Ball ideas, which then lead to some very cool looking Balls in the following generations and it also lead to unique conditions required to be met in order to be effective on certain Pokémon. Some of my favorite designs outside of Gen 2 are:

• Safari Ball
• Luxury Ball
• Dive Ball
• Beast Ball
• Master Ball (appears in all gens but I had to include it because it's one of the best Ball designs ever) I wish there were a Master Ball collectible, or a Beast Ball.

Here's a bit of trivia: in G/S/C the Moon and Love Balls don't work as intended due to game bugs. Other Balls don't work as intended, either. But in future generations they work just as they should.

Gen 2 is definitely my favourite set of Pokeballs. They are just so diverse with really great designs. The actual function of some of them isn’t that useful but I care more about the designs personally.

For some reason, I've always really like the Dusk ball since it came out, I love the colors and it reminds me of halloween lol I also really like the the Net ball, but I'll be going with the gen 4 option since that was my first Pokémon game. Honorable mention to the Heavy ball and the Team Rocket ball, as well as my go to, the Premier ball.

I chose Gen 1 because I have this OCD habit of wanting all of my bred Pokémon in regular Pokéballs. Its strange, I know, but I love the uniformity.

I thought I was the only one… I also dislike when all the Pokémon names are written in all caps. I will rename “CROCONAW” to “Croconaw” because it looks neater. All of my Pokémon will also be in Pokéballs, as much as I love the designs of the others.

I haven’t played past X/Y so I had to look up some of the other options. I think my top favorites are - in no particular order:

Appearance wise mostly:
-Dusk ball - might be my number one choice
-Luxury Ball
-Maybe timer ball
-Maybe safari ball
And of course the master ball.

I kinda also like the appearance of the beast ball and dream ball (in spite not liking pink); I’m not sure if I played those games (don’t remember either of these).

Some of my favourite designs are the friend ball, dream ball, and heal ball! Generally I just use the best type of ball I can buy at the time.

I do this too! My OCD demands it, but I don't mind because I really prefer the uniformity.

Does that make us triplets (instead of twinsies) since I do that too? I have OCD too tho it wasn’t bad when I played Pokemon more but I know for sure that I would keep the first letter capitalized and lower case the rest. Strangely having pokemon in different poke balls never bothered me even though it should have. I used whatever worked at the time and whichever I had the most of (except the master ball; obviously would save that). I also would buy max amount too; I kept a maxed stop of both greats and ultra balls I believe (not sure if i restocked my regular ones once they ran out).

I voted for gen 2 as it has most of my favourites in it, particularly the love ball, moon ball and friend ball which are all really well designed.
Outside of gen 2 I really like the dive ball, blue is my favourite colour and I think the shade used on this ball is really nice, and the dream ball, it has a design that I’m always drawn to and the colour scheme works well.

The Dusk Ball is my favorite Poke Ball. Not really sure why, honestly, I guess there's just something about its design that has always drawn me towards it.

The Moon Ball is a definite favorite for me—I love the color scheme and I've got a fondness for the moon (and particularly crescent moons) in general, so I picked the Gen 2 option. I do think that Dive Balls and Dream Balls are very aesthetically-pleasing as well, though.

I'd have to go with the Dive Ball. The colors are nice, I love how it's designed to look like foamy waves on deep water, and it matches very well with my personal favorite water type, Brionne. It's honestly at least half of the reason I bought my Lana nendoroid.

Beast ball is a close second, I like the design and it's funny that it's difficult to catch normal pokemon in it.
