Favorite smug?

Aaaa smugs are my favorite villagers so it's really hard to choose just one! I plan on having 3 smugs on my island: Pietro, Raymond and Marshal. I'd say those 3 are my favorites. ♡˖꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱ I used to say that Pietro was my all time favorite villager but now it's difficult to choose a favorite when Marshal's adorable lil blushy face and Raymond's dorky kitty smile exists!! ;w;

EDIT: Wanted to add the specific reasons why I adore each! Aside from all of them being adorable as all heck: Marshal was my earliest little smug buddy in New Leaf. He was the first smug villager I felt really close and connected to, so he's sentimental to me. ( ◜‿◝ )♡ Pietro came later on in my New Leaf years, but once he moved into my town our connection was INSTANT. I love clowns a lot, they make me feel happy and childlike, so Pietro is also very special. And finally, Raymond. I don't have Raymond yet but I want him so bad. I know I'm going to love him, and here's why: He's a catboy with glasses. My IRL romantic partner... is also a catboy with glasses. Automatic win with Raymond, I can't just NOT have him y'know?? ʕ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ

My favorite smugs are Marshal, Chadder, Tex, and Zell!

i’m not a huge fan of the smug villagers’ dialogue, but design-wise, my favourites are zell, lopez, roswell, cephalobot and chadder!

There are so many good Smug villagers. 5 I would recommend:

Marshal is cute and has a soft, endearing side. His gaze as he looks up at you is so adorable.

Raymond has a quirky but businesslike vibe. His different colored eyes, sharp little fangs, and business suit are neat.

Pietro is a fun, bright performer. He's a rainbow clown sheep.

Jacques feels like a cool but conceited artist. He's got a funny little goatee and a nice color scheme.

Leopold seems like an art teacher or mentor of some kind. The inside of his house is a classroom, and he's got a mature intellectual look.

My favorite Smug villager is Zell. He was my first Smug villager in NL, moved in as my next-door neighbor, and I really built a bond with him. After years of having the game he never once asked to leave.

Now that I play NH, Phil was my first Smug on my island and have grown partial to him. I'm actually having trouble deciding if I want to let him go for Zell or just keep him.

Other honorable mentions: Marshall, Chadder, Henry, Shep, & Julian. There are a few more I like but these are probably my favorites if I had to pick.

Back in New Leaf, when we were first introduced to Smug and Sisterly villagers, I looked up a list of them and the first Smug to grab my attention was Henry it was love at first croak. Frogs are among my favorite villager species right next to squirrels and anteaters, and I just found his design so cute. I knew I had to have him. I used the villager house plot exploit in New Leaf where you can essentially get any villager you wanted, and since my town lacked Smugs the game spawned a Smug villager every time I would reset (it wasn't too reliable of an exploit since the villager you get was still heavily RNG) and once I got Henry I was set for life. He's still living in my town to this day.

Funnily (and sadly) enough, I prefer him in New Leaf rather than New Horizons because of several things. Smugs aren't as flirty and whimsical in NH as they are in NL, and specifically in Henry's case, he's more of a bright neon-ish green in NH, whereas in NL he's a deep green which I prefer way more (same issue I have with Drago the lazy alligator). I also don't like his house interior in NH although it's not a big issue anymore as it can be corrected with HHP. Idk, he's just not the same little froggy as he was in NL but I still have a soft spot for him.

Other favorite Smugs include Graham, Rodney, Ken, Shep, and it took some time but I've grown fond of Huck, mainly because I was used to him being lazy, as he is in Animal Crossing on Gamecube.

My favorites would be Marshal, Ken, and Toby (Sanrio). Marshal became a favorite very early on in New Leaf after he moved into my town from someone I randomly StreetPassed. Ken was the first camper on my New Horizons island and he's a great villager as well. Toby is my favorite of the Sanrio villagers (and really the only Sanrio villager I liked to be honest).

I have Julian and Kidd on my island and they're both lovely! I wasn't sure of Kidd at first but he's been a delight. Can't really speak to other smugs but I wouldn't mind getting to know Zell a bit better given the chance.

As a cat person, Raymond is the obvious choice for me. Little dorky business cat has my heart forever. Julian is a close second. Had him on my last island and loved him. He's a blue unicorn wearing a space jacket for crying out loud. Hard to give him up this time but I committed to an all-cat island. His house is stunning and I designed an awesome yard with blue roses for him.

Kyle and Colton deserve honorable mentions. Kyle is based on a rare and beautiful African wild dog. Colton has a noble flare about him. Both good choices for Smugs too.

honestly, i dont like the smugs because their dialogues are extremely annoying. like, i don't care that my fashion is 'basic' but it's a 'good thing'? don't try to backhand compliment me, sir. i know better than to fall for those. i also find them to be very self-centered and shallow. they also say buongiorno is is spanish? no, it's italian. these smugs need to fix their language skills.

but in terms of character design, i think marshal is pretty cute. i also like o'hare because of his name. that's it. i hate smugs. bye T_T

Julian is definitely my favourite smug villager and joint top favourite ever. He has always been in my game since I started playing and I can’t imagine being without him (and Whitney )

Julian has been one of my favorite villagers since he moved into my town on New Leaf. So he's definitely a favorite smug. But there is one other that I've had on my island that I actually really liked, and kind of regret letting him leave after only having him a couple of months. Shep. He's just super chill and awesome. He moved in in January 2021 and then left in March... definitely didn't have him anywhere near long enough.

I have Marshal who is amazing. He's cute, but I like him primarily because he seems to really enjoy coffee, Bossa Nova music, and keep to himself- just like me!
