Favorite Villagers

I love Bob. I got super lucky and found him villager hunting. My childhood cat was named Bob and he was the center of our family. I miss him very much. When I found out there was a dang cat like mine in the gamecube version, I was ecstatic and have loved him ever since.

My favourite is Fauna, I love her design even though she might seem a little plain to some other villagers but I like how it really fits in with her species. Also I've always liked the normal personality, they are always happy with what they have and I think that's a really nice trait. Plus Fauna, to me, is the closest villager in resemblance to the Pokemon Eevee so that gets her bonus points.

When I played Wild World my favourite villager was Peanut as I thought she was so cute and I loved her colour scheme, also I never looked up villagers online so the only ones I knew about were the ones I had in my town. I still have a soft spot for her due to the nostalgia but I find her colouring in NH a bit too bright now and there are quite a lot of other villagers that I've since come across that I now prefer, also I'm not a huge fan of the peppy personality. The interior of her house is much better in NH though, I feel like the colours and furniture are more suited to her character.

New favourites of mine from New Horizons are Sherb, Raymond and Judy. I'd seen pictures of them all when I first got the game and I was certain I wanted Sherb for my island, I found his design very cute and I love the shade of blue he is. Before I found him though I came across both Raymond and Judy while island hopping and decided I'd invite them to my island for a while. I've since fallen in love with both, I really liked both the smug and snooty personalities, plus Raymond reminds me of one of my cats and Judy reminds me of a cute beanie bear with her pastel colouring. I have since found Sherb so now all 3 live on my island and I've got no plans to let any of them move away.

The context- one day my younger sister bought some amiibo cards off of amazon one day and Olivia was one of the cards, so i wanted to see how the cards worked in-game cus why not

She's been in my town ever since and i love her so much (not literally, mind you)

Marshal and Rolf. Marshal is my little marshmallow and he's adorable. Rolf is like my grandpa in-game. Crankies may seem unfriendly at first but they're actually really nice once you get to know them. Rolf is super sweet and I imagine him teaching the rest of my villagers things that he learned when he was younger lol

I love Tangy bc she's cute. I had Oliva on my old island, she's literally just a cat with makeup on but I just love her so much.

cyrano, curlos, and bob have always been my favourite characters in the series and it will forever remain that way, i love my boys i have them in all my towns and on my island

My ultimate faves are Bob and Kabuki !
Bob was my first favorite character on my first Animal Crossing experience, and then Kabuki was my favorite villager on my own New Leaf town (first game I owned) so it's them forever <3

Punchy was my number one favorite in NL and still in in NH, though I really hate the bug talk. I never paid attention to Rudy before but thanks to having him as a starter, he has become my second favorite villager. His expressions are just the cutest. I love it when he is stomping around mad especially when he is holding an umbrella or pop can; it is just so funny.

I’ll make it simple and say that I love all of the dogs. I’ll give special shoutouts to Mac, Goldie, Bones, and Bea. I love Mac’s aesthetic, especially in the older games where his signature look was his red aloha tee. Nintendo has since removed the old aloha tees from the game and replaced them with the pineapple aloha tees. I preferred the older look, personally. I was trying so hard to get a custom design of the older one, but it’s been complicated. Now, I’m not too worried about it.

Lily, she is just very cute, and she always brightens my day no matter how I happen to be feeling.

In my case it depends on the game, since new villagers are added over time and others are forsaken apparently forever. My list would be:

- Animal Crossing (for the Gabe Cube) = Tiara, the snooty rhino. A close second would be Elina, the snooty elephant (islander). Neither of them survived to new installments

- Wild world = definitely Stitches! That hugable lazy cub was introduced in this game.

- City Folk = strangely... Gala, the normal pig. And that's a surprise, because I'm not very fond of pigs (both in-game and real life). But coincidentally she was always so nice to me when I needed someone to the most.

- New Leaf = Marshal! Since the very first moment. He was the only one I actually cried over when he accidentaly left my town. When I found someone here in the forums willing to give him back to me, I spent all my 700 bells on him. No regrets ever. I wasn't even aware at the time of how popular he actually was, I just loved him on my own. Remains my fave nowadays, nobody can take his place in my heart

- New Horizons = I highly dislike the overall design of this installment, hence why I haven't bougth/played it and have no intention of ever doing so. But from several videos I've watched, I somehow seem to favour Sherb? I've seen him around so much that for a while I was convinced I already knew him from HHD...

Marshal is my top, top fav. He moved into my first NL town as my smug, a total random move in, and I fell in love instantly because he was so tiny and cute and kind. He'd write me letters and give me gifts allll the time. I liked him so much that he was the first amiibo card I got because I just had to have him in every town since haha.

Next is Dom! He's so cute and looks so sad always and I just wanna squish his little sad face and hug him and never let him go. Plus he's a sheep and I love sheep so much (both in game and irl) because they're very adorable.

Julian is a unicorn. That's all there is too say. He's a one-of-a kind villager, well-designed with a cool personality type. Love him to bits.

Bea looks exactly like my favorite plush, a dog I've had since I was a baby. and speaking of plushes.. Stitches is a tiny, cuddly plush toy! Very colorful, very cute. 10/10.

Some runner ups: Fauna, Erik, Molly, Lolly, Zucker, Etoile, Riddle, Melba, Tucker, Peewee.. the list could go on lol.

Molly as she's super cute and is the one character that the normal personality doesn't bore me too much

Maddie originally annoyed me, but now I dnjoy her outgoingness. She really livens up the island.

Aziz the lion from the Gamecube. C'mon, he has a BLUE MANE! And he just has a sweet little face. I'm not a huge fan of jock villagers, but if he were in a newer installment he'd never leave.

As for more "modern" villagers, Megan for sure. Megan is my ray of sunshine. I just get really maternal vibes from her, and as someone who grew up with an unstable mother figure, she just comforts me a lot. Maybe because of how calm the normal villagers are in NH? I dunno, she hits different than my other normals. I think it's because she's currently the only normal bear, and I love bears.

My favourite villagers are mostly dogs because I adore dogs, and the way they're designed in AC is a way I love. So here's a list:

• Goldie - she's very cute, I love that she's tied to libraries, and she's clearly a golden retriever! She's my fave villager point-blank.
• Daisy - another sweet dog, she looks like a Pyreneean mountain dog which is a breed I love.
• Lucky - I love clumsy accident-prone labradors, and that's him in a nutshell.
• Roscoe - his design is great, like a goth horse, and I used to talk to him all the time in Wild World.
• Kabuki - Japanese cultural history combined with a cat!

Goldie is my absolute favourite though, I have a little Goldie shrine on my shelves and I even have her tattooed on my arm!
