• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

Feels like there's so little to do in Animal Crossing: NL?

Maybe you're just getting older so the simplicity bores you. .-.

I agree, I've played WW and City Folk and this Animal crossing is the best one yet. When I come home from school, the first THING that I do is play NL. There is SO much more to do, my objective right now is to catch all the insects/Fish/diving creatures, and obtain all the badges. I'm also not completely satisfied with my town, so I've got enough to do!

I tried WW the other day, I couldn't stand it after playing NL xD The graphics, haha! I haven't found NL becoming boring yet, because I'm still in the process of filling the museum, cataloging, getting my dream villagers, and customizing my town. After all that's down though, I think I won't be playing it as much.

To be totally honest with you, I've literally finished NL, finished my paths, got all my dreamies, got everything I wanted now all I do is just log in as a mayor, talk to every villager and that's pretty much it.

On TBT I never even trade anymore or anything.

I'm purchasing a second copy, to make it more exciting ^_^
im making this town a natural town... where i dont reset for any villagers, just accept who arrives, let villagers leave etc

Im going through this right now.

Wake Up,
Check Flowers
Water Flowers
Dig for Fossils
Go to Stores
Go to Museum
Sell Stuff
Save

I don't really play with people online but i don't really get bored either. Theres always something i find to do. Whether it's doing my daily chores, or sorting my house out, flowers, placing paths and what not, even if you don't find the appeal to play as much, leave it for a few days and come back.

Eitherway, i still find it really fun and havent gotten bored yet. c:

I love ACNL. Even when there's nothing to do, there's something to do. That makes no sense, lol, but it does to me. Sometimes fishing at night with the quiet, relaxing music at night is refreshing enough for me.

I think part of the reason that people are already getting bored with their game is A), They time travel. This isn't.. 'bad'.. I'm certainly not meaning to start ANY debates or fights over this, but TT-ing can ruin the experience a bit. It speeds the game up way too fast, literally. So everything is obtained easier, and faster. Sometimes waiting can be very rewarding, and prideful. B), They're doing too much too soon. Completing their debt, getting all dream villagers, unlocking everything, etc.. Way too fast. Don't get me wrong, there isn't a specific time frame to follow in this game. But sometimes it's good to go slow. The game lasts longer this way, is more rewarding, and makes you feel more satisfied for taking your time in the end.

I used to TT and unlock everything and complete everything really fast, and it wasn't fulfilling to me, and it made the game boring. So now I am resetting, as I type this.. Trying to find a new town for myself. I won't TT, I'll take things slow, enjoy the game at my own slow pace, and just relax. There's no rush. Absolutely no rush what-so-ever. AC games aren't meant to be beat. They're meant to be enjoyed, taken slow, and meant to be fulfilling.

I recommend that those of you who are feeling bored with the game, to restart. Make a list of short-term goals, and long-term goals for your new town. Don't rush. Try not to TT for a couple weeks and see if that makes it more fulfilling for you. Try and expand your horizon when it comes to villagers. Don't have a set 10 that you want. Allow some randomly generated ones move in. This makes things exciting, as you may really like the villager in the end, or you may hate them. But a good enemy in your town spices things up.

Goodluck, guys.<3
