Brawl is huge, whether we like it or not. All gamers talk about its revelation in the gaming industry, with the appearance of Third Party characters, and how the game itself is no longer just a generic fighting game. So, my friend and I were discussing the appearance of Sonic in Brawl, and of course, I go on and on about how Nintendo and Sony used to be enemies, and how they

Maybe you haven't played Mario Strikers Charged, but whenever a player charges a Mega Strike, theres a cutscene and you can't really notice any lag when its a 4 star connection. Lag will just depend on connections. I mean, look at most of the online FPS games, a lot of them have a lot of action going on and there's barely any lag if all connections are good..

But then again.. this is Nintendo Wifi Connection.. which sucks. We'll just have to wait and see.

One thing - we've already seen some Final Smashes in action, and most of them take a second, maybe two, to get going. There really aren't any cutscenes, and Kirby's final smash only seems long because of all the screenshots Sakurai posted. I think it'll take only 5 - 7 seconds at most, but you're right... it could lag. But hey, so can the game itself.

seeing Samus's Final Smash, the final smashes seem very seamless. I saw some gameplay where Samus uses it and it zooms in for a single second, comes back out to actual game play, the beam goes out for about a second, and it's over. Links and Kirbys, I would agree. They seem like cutscenes, but who knows what Ninty will bring out of it's hat? stuff like Diddy, Bowser, Yoshi, Sonic, Fox, etc. Where you can control the final smash, (some more than others) is even less cutscenish, the entire thing is spent in real gameplay, and is controlled by the player.

I personally think Final Smashes will be good for the series as a way to utilize each character's special abilities even more. Brawl is going to be hectic and Final Smashes add to that. Maybe sitting down with the game will change your mind.
