First snow fall

I don't get snow until tomorrow. Then I get one more day of snow on the 2nd and that's it until the heavy snow on the 10th.

I’m so jealous! Both yesterday and today have been super sunny and the villagers have commented how nice the weather was. I just want snowwwww.

I saw mine today! So cute, just like a light dusting! I like it like this better than when it would just fall right down in new leaf. It makes it feel like the season is coming in slowly like how fall does. I think it was a nice addition to the game

Yes I've already gotten my first snowfall. Isabelle told me over the announcements so it must have been this morning. I can't wait until Dec.11 when everything is white!

I was horrified to see this vile snow on my island this morning.

My wife caught me about to delete the game and said she'd play it even though she loathes the snow, being in Australia.

It literally made me sick.

Thanks for the constant ocular migraines, nintendo.

What am I meant to do for THREE MONTHS of this vileness!

I can't play the game like this!

I'm not TT'g three in game months to next year!

This issue needs fixing for those who don't like and don't get snow.

All the items in the entire sets aren't worth it anyway.

I'm not sure I would see it as an issue, the game is set to go through a set seasonal pattern in order to allow all players to experience a variety of weather, DIYs, and events during the year the same way we do in real life. there are many places around the world that don't experience seasons the same way we do in a fictional game (lots of places don't get summer, especially for three full months, and I also currently live in a place where it doesn't snow in most of the country for winter)

not everyone is going to enjoy every season the same way, and I personally really do not enjoy the summer months on my island due to aesthetics and the fact that it reminds me I'm about to go into a blisteringly hot several months irl but I'm not going to hold it against the game because I know that there are lots of people who are going to enjoy the items and the gameplay that come along with it

no game is going to be perfect but I wouldn't consider having a game including seasons in it's structure as a flaw that needs to be rectified in order for it to be enjoyable

I suppose I would have seen the snow falling earlier, but I've been playing for an hour or so and it started to snow.

It was nice scenery, too bad it's counted as rain for my flowers and now they'll explode tomorrow.

I had a light snow flurry the other day, but according to my weather seed I'm due for a heavy snowfall tomorrow. Will we need to wait for December for the ground to turn white?

This right here! It’s all bright and shiny and villagers walking around with smoothies. Where is our snow? :(

i haven’t had my first snowfall yet nor do i keep track of my weather seed so i’m not exactly sure when it’ll happen, but hopefully sometime this week!! from what i’ve seen of winter in new horizons so far, it looks absolutely stunning and i’m super excited to see it for myself + to see my villagers in their winter attires! ☺️

I've been playing since 2005.
I don't need the game mechanics explained to me, thank you. :)

It's an opinion, and a very real medical issue for me.

The blinding hideous white causes ocular migraines and eye spasms.

I have also been playing since 2005, if you understand the game mechanics enough after that amount of time you should also be able to understand that they are unable to cater the exact game experience to every single person's individual needs

I'm not looking to argue, but the tone I got from your initial comment was extremely negative about the game in general and the impression I got from it was that you were offended by the existence of snow in NH because you don't personally experience it as you/your wife live in australia (?)

if you are experiencing ocular migraines and eye spasms that sounds like a genuine medical issue you should be managing independently rather than expecting a highly visually stimulating video game to change it's mechanics to fit into what you medically require for your experience. is there a way to change the contrast settings on the switch to decrease the severity of this? (genuine question as I've never looked into it)

Adding on to this, moving the brightness down may help, as well as the time of day you choose to play in. If you play at night, the colors will be less vibrant~!

Blue light glasses may also help, if you've ever tried those out.

Though, I think that plenty of web interfaces that we use nowadays have a similar color, (google chrome's default white is just as vibrant as the snow, the tan-ish colors on the forum posts are similar as well).

Anyways, I hope @John Wick is able to find a solution!

You don't seem to understand it's a problem the in game snow, and nothing else, has caused. I've already been seen by an actual Doctor.

Anything about my tone you've picked up, is stemming from the fact that I can't play a game I love, for a quarter of a year because of this issue.

I am definately not looking for a debate. :)

Over & out.
