I made a setting for a cozy and lively Lunar New Year dinner. ^^ Unfortunately my family doesn't really celebrate much anymore, but the times we did was fun and I have fond memories as a kid. I always cherished the times we did something special for dinner, or even just decorated our house to be a little more festive. 🥺

It'd had been a minute since Azzy took on a project to reorganize the plaza. Considering the plaza is Paradisia's main hub of activity, it frequently changes through seasons and events. If that means hauling in pagodas and arches than so be it.

Ballad, along with a few mysterious little forest spirits, performs a lantern dance to welcome the Lunar New Year on Anthology. While basking in the light of our very own moon and fallen stars, we celebrate the passage of time and we wish health and peace for all our neighbors.

(I gave Ballad a red silk shirt because when I was a young child, I was close to a family who split their time between China and the U.S. each year. On one of their trips to the states, they brought me children’s clothing from China—a soft red shirt with a short collar and red pants cut below the knee, with gold and white trim and knotted-rope buttons. I thought it was the absolute coolest thing ever to happen to me and wore them everywhere that year.)

The residents of Qilin Isle definitely had a great time welcoming the year of the dragon! They enjoyed fireworks, delicious food, the exchanging of red envelopes, and of course quality time with loved ones. May this year bring nothing but positivity and growth 🐉 ❤️ ✨

Rei is a Priestess at a Shinto Shrine. Since she is Japanese she decided to combine Japanese and Chinese traditions together to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dragon. A Lucky Cat (or mentor Luna from Sailor Moon) looks on for good luck as well.

Lunar New Year usually consists of me and my siblings going home to visit my mom and enjoying some hot pot together. We always make sure to wear red. I don’t have many fitting furniture so here’s me and my villagers enjoying each others company with some good food.

The dragons are getting kinda frisky, huh?

I've never really celebrated this before, but I had such a fun time learning about the myths, and traditions. I wanted to make a lovely bamboo, and red focus room.
With fireworks and dragons to celebrate the Dragon year! With food, tea and colourful items to express celebrations of an amazing hope to the new Dragon year.

One of the best things about the Lunar New Year is that it is a holiday where we eat all the foods and spend time with our loved ones. In this case, the Lazy Susan table allows everyone to sit down together to eat the foods they enjoy. The colours of red and green are used to complement each other with natural beauty intermixed.

High above the city’s festivities celebrating the Year of the Dragon, I sit and smell the delicious feast prepared for my guest and me. Fireworks light all around as I await their arrival.

It’s okay if they’re late. They are a dragon themselves.

This is their year, after all.

Buck has helped me organise a Lunar New Year party for a few select residents of Hazzard Island to spread good luck and good health. Buck remarked that even though it is the 'Year of the Dragon', he spreads good luck everyday and 2026 is his year! 🐴 🐉

Mabel and Sable’s favourite Lunar New Year tradition is acquiring new clothes to wear, to symbolize new beginnings and a fresh start for the new year. As a seamstress, Sable prefers to make their new clothes each year themselves. This year, Sable and Mabel decided to go all out by releasing a whole new Lunar New Year-inspired clothing line, and decorating their shop!

All of Sable’s new creations were so beautiful, I couldn’t decide what to get! I’m so grateful to my animal friends for celebrating the Lunar New Year with me in their own unique ways. ♥️

🧧🎆 New Year's Yum Cha 🎆🧧

My coworkers and I have a yearly tradition of celebrating the New Year together with a meal. On one occasion we had a Chinese banquet, but almost always, we have yum cha! Due to some of our colleagues leaving, we weren't able to celebrate the New Year together this year, so instead, I've recreated our usual end-of-lunch photo together!

Fun fact: I picked specific villagers to represent some of my colleagues!

Happy Lunar New year! Here celebrating the new year with everyone's obviously favourite dragon Drago! I set up a little dinning room type area where people would be invited to come together and enjoy a bunch of amazing food. Featuring a window to watch the fireworks outside and a nice little shrine to the dragon in front, also decked in a bunch of red decor with a bunch of lights and banners set up to celebrate! 🧧🐉🏮
