Sorry for the wait. ; w ;
I wanted to use yours to test my drawing tablet. I was going to colour it, but used a base colour that's too light TT_TT i dunno how to make it darker without having to redraw it yet.

Hello there, I'm gonna barge in and give uncalled for advice like the annoying grandma I am ~

I don't know what program your using but there's 4 methods that I know that you can use to darken the lineart

1. Change brightness of the layer in the filter tab (sai, medibang) or edit tab (ClipStudio and Photoshop I think ??)
2. Create new layer in clipping mask and paint in the colour you want
3. Lock layer opacity and paint in the colour you want
4. Turn layer of lineart into Multiply, Shade, Darken or other mode along those lines

Feel free to let me know if you have any question about the methods or any other thing, I'd be glad to help ~
Or you can just ignore this lol, you do things the way you want xD
Anyway good luck and keep up the great work !

Eeks. I didn't save it in the right format (using sai), so now all the layers are gone. TT_TT The sai format doesn't let me export images though, so do you recommend saving it in both formats?

^ yep, you got it right! I save all of my art in both .sai and .png so I can edit it later if needed

Hello I'm gonna butt in again haha~
As xCherryskyx said before always save in both formats !
You can still save your lineart though, open it up in sai, go to the layer tab and click Luminance to Transparency, it'll get rid of the white, beware that you may loose some opacity but you can fix this by duplicating the lineart a couple times ~
Hope it helps !

Ohh it works, thank you so much!! Is that how to make the image transparent without the white background?
Also, is there a way to get a reference picture for the colours without having to download the picture?

That's good, no problem glad to help ~
It's one of the methods I know at least :3
Hmm well if it's just to pick colours I usually just take a print screen and open it on Sai, click open from clipboard or paste it into the file your working on. I think that should do it for colour reference ~
