Game Pre-order Bonus's for USA

So, it appears I missed the boat at Target, as they're sold out of pre-orders that include the journal. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I should go, now? I did manage to nab a system from BB before they sold out, but now I'm on the hunt for the game.

I haven't heard anything about GameStop doing something like this yet.

Best Buy claimed to have some sort of phone badge available with preorders when I placed my order with them last night. (I also missed the boat on Target.) They also are offering $10 in rewards for preordering the game, so if you plan to pick up any other games within a month or two of grabbing ACNH, buying from them might be a good idea.

I haven't heard of any other preorder bonuses so far in the US. In general, it seems like we haven't gotten as good bonuses as other regions for games of late, so I would be surprised to see anything all that spectacular. It's possible they'll announce something in an upcoming Direct, but it would probably have to be fairly soon, and my guess is that we'll just see something like double gold coins for preordering a digital copy.

Yeah, seems as though we got the short end of the stick with the system, too, seeing as Europe and Japan both get the game included.

I saw the badge sticker thing, but would seriously just end up throwing it away. I'll hold tight to see if anything else pops up. I'll also update this thread if/when something good comes along.

I feel like we are going to hear more about preorder bonuses when the Nintendo Direct happens. It doesn't make sense that they would skimp for North America because NA is a huge market for them. Just NA has sold more Switches (21 mill vs 14 mill) and games (139 mill vs 94 mill) than all of Europe. It more than doubles Japan's game sales. A lot of game info leaks from European retailers and magazines, so maybe the info release just wasn't coordinated with Nintendo of America.

I mean, I hope. It'd be cool to see preorder gifts with digital preorders too. I think they're doing that in another region.

I don't blame you at all for being wary after that, but if something like this happens to you, I really recommend filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I had to do that for Target when they refused to refund/replace/fix a download code even when I had the receipt and proof it didn't work from the other company. My complaint was escalated all the way to the head corporate office and I was refunded within a few mere hours of me filing a BBB complaint.

If I were all of you I'd wait for Target to drop their AD for that week when New Horizons drop (for those that missed the pre order or their order gets cancelled.) There could be a chance that notebook may be given as well if you buy it instore. I know all Targets will not do this but its always worth a shot to keep an eye out.
