We had to do this for Honors English and I want to know what other people would answer to these questions...

Bad/evil people have good traits (agree, partially agree, disagree)

If someone provokes someone into doing something bad then they should be punished as well

The choices you make in life wont matter eventually because your future is already planned out.

---

My answers:

1.) I agree, no one is completely bad or evil. I think that even bad people can have some good qualities but they get over looked because people tend to focus on the bad once it's shown.

2.) I disagree, I feel people are strong enough to make their own choices on whether they should let the provoking get to them or not. Your actions, your consequences.

3.) I partially agree, we will never know if where we end up in the future is what was actually suppose to happen for us or not but I think that the choices you make definitely matter.

1.) Yes. No one is REALLY bad... but it can be aggravating to see the person being so rude...

2.) Kinda... but then again, it all depends on the one who was pressured.

3.) Unknown. Remember that things can change in the blink of an eye. Good planning can make it easier though...

I did something like this in my 9th Honors English class as well. :p

i don't know i guess i'm neutral, when i hear about certain serial killers i do find it hard to imagine that they have any nice qualities about them but for the most part i don't think people are born inherently evil maybe with a VERY few exceptions

If someone provokes someone into doing something bad then they should be punished as well

agree. there was a case pretty recently about a girl who persuaded and encouraged her boyfriend to kill himself. not exactly answering the question but i think your actions have consequences. and likewise if someone pressured someone else into something illegal like murder/robbery i think that they're in every bit responsible as the person that carried it out

disagree lmao, your life is what you make of it
OK i'm gonna edit this and say that my answer isn't true cause there are limitations because of where you come from/money etc etc but i don't believe in fate at all

1. i think it's rare that someone has nothing good about them.
2. the person who was persuaded should be punished as well however it completely depends on what they did and what the situation was.
3. life is in your hands but it's also in your environment so i'm not sure. some people are lucky and others aren't, but the choices you make has a massive impact of your future.

Agree. I can't explain why bad or evil people do bad or evil things, but they always have something inside of them that's pure.

If someone provokes someone into doing something bad then they should be punished as well

Depends what you describe as provoking someone. If someone was proven to have intentionally provoked somebody into doing something, then they should have equal punishment, yes.

The choices you make in life wont matter eventually because your future is already planned out.

I believe you are guided through your life and coaxed into making the right decisions, but you have free will and life is what you make it.

i think that people who "are evil" arent, like, EVIL. like, they've chosen to do a lot of evil things and their traits don't make them more or less evil. two people with the exact same traits could use their traits in very different ways. someone who is good at speaking and making people agree with them could use this trait to be an activist for animal rights. someone else could use it to manipulate and hurt people.
i also don't think that having no conscience makes someone evil or bad. a lack of conscience can definitely lead to someone doing bad things but many people with little empathy or no conscience are still good members of society and nice ppl. (thanks to laws, social rules and whatever. like, people can know that it's wrong to hit someone even though they don't feel bad when they do it.)

If someone provokes someone into doing something bad then they should be punished as well

??? depends on the situation. punished as in punished by the law.. no. it should be taken into consideration when theyre deciding on how long the person should go to prison or w/e but someone else can't be seen as responsible for whatever that person decides to do. (like if i bully someone and they decide to shoot up the school because of the bullying... yes if i hadnt bullied them they wouldnt have done it but i'm not responsible for their actions so i cant be taken to court and be charged with killing ppl in a school shooting)
if it's not legal punishment i'd say yes they should be punished. someone snapping at their bully and hitting them in the face is wrong but so is bullying and both should be punished or w/e.

no your future is not planned out. though i dont think you can change everything you want to change because even tho ppl like to say that everything's possible if you try hard enough that's not true because of a lot of different things. even though it sometimes is out of your control the future isnt determined from birth or w/e

1) agree
bad people can have good intentions or can just have traits that benefit themselves and no one else i.e being manipulative and cunning
2) partially agree
yes you should be punished because that's how the system works but things should be taken into account for a better sentence, unless they were forced to do such acts of course
3) disagree
for me my future is planned out as of now but it'll probably change, plus my actions should always be appropriate to succeed
