growing the "Bell Tree"

hey, if anyone can help me, i would be very greatfull.
so it's like this, i planted 10,000 bells with my gold shovel. a few days later, 3 bags of 30,000 grew on it.
however, i've retried planting 1,000 and 10,000 bells again. both grew without wilting, but beared no bells....
may someone help me please?

OK, if you plant 1,000 bells (w/ a golden shovel) you get a 1% chance.So if you plant 10,000 bells you get 10% chance.

1,000 bells = 1% chance of growing with 3,000 bells.
10,000 bells = 10% chance of growing with 30,000 bells.
30,000 bells = 30% chance of growing with 90,000 bells.
60,000 bells = 60% chance of growing with 90,000 bells also.

Basically depending on how many you plant determines the chance of bells growing and how many are going to grow. Although you can't get more than 90,000 bells per tree.

This is the way it was in AC:WW and i've not heard anything about it changing so I assume it's the same.
