GrungeSignature.png

Well, I took what Niko said, and tried to make a better signature. Sorry if it's a little dark, but all I can think about is grungy and dark or pain. It's just my current feelings at the moment.

I also figured I should use some brushes, so I went and downloaded like 30 grunge brushes.

What do you guys think?

I like it for what it is, but you might want to work on the text a little more ;) .

This signature seems to be only brushes and C4Ds. There's no flow, or lighting, or any sort of significance other than the fact that many patterns are present. The size is also a bit too large to fit comfortably in a signature area. Keep trying.

Actually it is all brushes. I put layer after layer of brushes, so it's like 4 layers.

It's actually dark clouds in the back.

@ Niko and rroqer

It's supposed to be dark and hard to read. That's how I intended it to be, but I'll keep trying.
I also couldn't think of a character that would go well with it...

That's odd coming from you considering you love things that are dark...
I love grunge, and I love things you would consider "dark", but I don't like this sig.

The text is meh, the flow is bleh, and I'm not a fan of sigs that big.

I see. Blending the layers with some clipping masks would have made the depth a tad better. Softening and sharpening certain areas will also increase that effect. Since you have no focal point, this seems like a problem; However, when applied correctly, filter effects will create a sense of complexity without everything clashing. I can agree that the "grunge" effect should clash, but not as much. Also, try adding a contrasting color to add that extra "pop".

Text:
Only grunge text I had.

Flow:
Didn't have any....

Size:
I took the size from a signature with a drop shadow, so I didn't want to just select the colored part.

Considering this is one of my few decent ones, I'd say it's pretty good.

@Males

I'll try to remember that in the future.
