Gyroid Help

Hi!

I planted my first two gyroid fragments and watered them last night, today nothing happened…

Did I do something wrong?
Has this happened to anyone else?

When you watered them, did smoke come out of the crack? You might have missed it since that happened to me once too.

Did you dig them up? The holes will still look the same, but you should be able to dig up the gyroid now.

If you did and it's still a fragment, did you TT backwards at all? I discovered that, if you TT backwards, it doesn't register as being a day forward so they'll still be fragments.

I dug all of mine up the next day and they were ready.

Yah, you should be able to get them the next day. Unless maybe it's different with a golden can? I use a golden can, so maybe for the other ones the time varies. But I'm able to dig them up the next day.

I don’t think it matters. Mine was just a regular watering can and I’ve never had one that took more than a day.

Mine was also a regular watering can and I dug mine up the next day and it was fine.

You need to make sure there is smoke coming out of the X once you water it.

So far I've only buried two gyroid fragments and used a regular watering can. They were both full gyroids the next day. I don't remember seeing any smoke when I watered them but maybe I was distracted.

I wonder if it's related to gyroid rarity or type, maybe?

You need to plant the gyroids in the ground and water them. DO NOT dig them up on the same day. Wait until the next day and you should get the Gyroid itself and not the fragments.

Hmm, I haven’t seen smoke at all!

Try going over the spot where you have it planted and water it again and wait like 10 seconds for the smoke to appear.

Make sure there’s smoke coming out after you water and you should be good the next day.
