Someone I used to be friends with when I was in high school shared that post (red) and I commented, calling her out on it (blue) After this exchange, she left a bunch of other comments, including calling me childish and saying I should pick my battles. I asked her why she was saying I was childish and then she said the post was not coming down.

It baffles me how people act like this when someone outside their echo chamber offers another perspective. She also believed that if she signed a petition, our prime minister would resign.

You probably should pick your battles though. I'd say 90% of the time people who post **** like that are being purposefully inflammatory (they want the argument for their own ego), or just aren't open to learning.

No point speaking in Spanish to someone who only speaks Flemish, some times you need to just let it go as people aren't going to be willing to hear you. I think in this case her "bet you can't share this" is a tell it's bait, she wanted to make people mad.

Honeslty, people are poison. Social media takes that poison in people and makes it toxic.

But I can agree with 'picking your battles'. One example, thou not on a social media platform, it was irl, an employee from a different department asked to see me later before I left for the day. When I got some time I went in the back production area, where she began with 'you know there's Neutrogena in the store right?' Referring to my bad acne. I could have said '**** you and mind you own god damn business' cause there were no customers around, but instead, I just 'smiled and waved'. I quickly told her how it doesnt work on me (she had the nerve to ask 'even the kind with the beads?) And went back to work.

Had I had said that, things would have been very awkward. I see her in the breakroom quite often when I'm on lunch, she comes over to the bakery department to get the scan gun sometimes, other encounters ect...

So point being, if you can, just don't even bother with people. Yes there will be times when they bait you, but you'll save yourself time, stress and breath not explaining to them otherwise.

Yup 100% right choice in this scenario. Though I'd probably have brought it up with HR cause no belligerent like that get's to talk like that to me lol, but even so, you probably took the right call by just completely ignoring her. It's not worth the drama, end of the day.

But basically, there's people out there who live such vacuous lives they wanna start drama however and wherever they can. Literally better to ignore or just give the 'customer service' voice to them. Because they're not here to learn, they're here to cause problems.

You left your name and hers visible in one of the screenshots FYI

But yeah seemed like kind of a pointless argument you should have just let it be in my opinion sorry

First of all, don't pick any battles. Avoid them because it's just useless bull****, ya know? Maybe block them if you like.

Also, does anyone feel like she was like "I'm lucky (or thankful) I don't have any STD or HIV"? One can be thankful for not having a disease without it shaming someone with the disease. Correct me if i'm looking into that wrong. What does she mean by "bet y'all can't steal this"?

However, the comments are quite irritating as well but I get it. Your friend stated that she wasn't trying to offend anyone. So, maybe they didn't mean it to hurt anyone?

Please tell me I'm reading this wrong cause I do not want to be in the wrong here.

Y’all would really not do well with my Facebook page lmaoooo too damn sensitive
