I have no idea why I am losing so much hair. It wasn't really that big of a problem until now. I'm losing tons of hair. My hair has become noticeably thinner and its upsetting me. I'm 15 years old so I'm pretty sure its not age. I stopped drinking milk so maybe its because of that. However, I have not been drinking milk over the summer and my hair was fine then. Maybe its increased school stress but I was fine last year. School isn't that much harder. I have no idea why I'm losing so much hair and its stressing me out. :(

You might have alopecia. I would see a doctor about it as there are many different reasons you could be losing your hair. :C Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I'm going to search up alopecia because I have no idea what it is.

I hope that you are able to get some treatment for whatever it is! Don't stress yourself out too much about what it could be. A doctor should be able to diagnose it for you and recommend a treatment method! ^-^

Could be from lack of nutrients or underlying stress. I used to lose a lot of hair!

Milk does provide a lot of nutrients so it could be that. But since you said it isn't probably school related, could it possible be food? Like, are you consuming a lot of protein? Hair and hair growth relies a lot on protein that your body makes. So possibly eat more foods higher in protein. Of course I'm not 100% sure but, it's what I live by and it's worth a shot.

you should see a doctor for more professional evaluations. i lost a lot of hair when i burned it accidentally with a hair dryer, but that may not be your case. i also lost hair when i tied it in a ponytail every single day, really tightly that my scalp hurt (ballet). i also lost hair from swimming a lot but not having conditioner. there are many ways you can lose a lot of hair, but i suggest seeing a professional.

It sounds like alopecia to me as well. My mom had it but as hers was stress related she was lucky enough to have it grow back. Her hair got really thin and as it was short it was very noticeable. I understand how upsetting it is, after my chemo I always lose a lot of hair. I've been lucky not to lose so much as I needed to shave it off, but it's incredibly distressing.
You really need to see your doctor about it, you're very young and will be going through enough at this age without the upset of losing your hair. It will be difficult but try not to get very upset, if it's alopecia it could exaggerate the problem. Your doctor will probably refer you to a specialist to try and find out what's going on. Try and do that as soon as you can

Hair loss can be caused by a range of problems, some more serious than others. It could just be the seasons changing or perhaps an iron deficiency? I've lost a lot of hair too due to a lack of iron, but I had experienced other symptoms along with the hair loss. The best advice is to inquire to your doctor regarding the loss of hair and any other symptoms that you may be having. If it is the iron, it can easily be fixed by taking iron supplements daily; which is what I have been doing for the past four months (my levels were far too low).

On top of that, stressing over your hair loss will not help you in anyway, it will only make things worse. Seek help if you are that concerned as it will make a difference.

How much hair are you losing roughly? I hope you find a solution soon! :)

you should definitely see a doctor. i used to be anemic, and lost a lot of hair because of that. getting a blood test and finding out the source of the problem is a good idea

Thank you for the advice everyone. I guess I'll go to a doctor and find out what's up with the hair loss problem. Maybe I'll start watching my diet more too.

It's most likely that it's due to stress.
My dad started loosing patches of hair and he eventually just shaved it all off.

It's good your going to see a doctor. Hope you are ok!
