I used to dye my hair very often! Ive had every colour except yellow and Ive had many disasters along the way, such as the time I left bleach in my hair for too long and ended up with a mullet. Eventually, I got tired of killing my hair so I just stopped dying it,, I have very dark hair naturally so it still matches my vibe c:

I haven't dyed it before but I definitely want to try it some day, and have always wanted to growing up. I'm not sure what colour would suit me though, and I do have dark brown/black hair hair so it'll be more of a process to go about dying it lol.

I've had silvery platinum, blonde, black, and dark red hair. The red faded to an orange that I did not like, so I guess I've had that too. I like my natural brown just fine, but I really like white/silver/grey hair, so I'd like to try dyeing my hair again sometime. Unfortunately, the lightest my last hairdresser could get it was platinum with some silvery strands, so I dunno if it will be possible for me.

I've never dyed my hair. When I was younger I wanted to dye my hair light blue or minty green, but I kind of lost interest in the idea

In high school I dyed my hair jet black. The dye was supposed to have hints of blue in it, but it wasn't noticeable. During the later parts of the 2010s I tried to dye my hair a gorgeous crimson red, which again, didn't work because the best that I could do was a burgundy color.

Once the pandemic started, I stopped dying my hair and haven't continued since, because my workplace forbids unusual hair colors.

I like my hair black, but I wanted to dye my hair light brown for my MK8 Male Villager costume one time, until I resorted to a wig which was way easier.

I actually never have! I’ve got brown hair and I’ve always liked it. Fun hair colors on other people are really cool, but I’ve always had a bit of an aversion to the idea of any kind of body modification for myself, even really tame, impermanent things. I’ve never dyed my hair, painted my nails, gotten a tattoo, gotten a piercing, or worn makeup. I like to joke that I prefer to remain in my factory default state.

I've only dyed my hair I think 3 times in my life, each time I've just gone for a darker brown than my natural brown. I am too lazy to deal with the upkeep so I prefer to keep my hair natural.

i haven’t ever fully dyed my hair before but i’ve gotten highlights when i was in high school. definitely thought about dyeing my hair before but could never settle on a colour or commit to the maintenance.

i might do something in the future - the one where you just dye the underside of your hair so it’s almost like a half commitment

Nope, I have never done it before. I'm not really considering it because I don't enjoy looking at myself for any reason and I just wouldn't find that worth it if I don't appreciate it. This is probably also why I'm not into fashion.

The closest I've got is trying to put in some hair mask that will change the color of my hair. Or some temporary spray-on hair color. I would like to try dying it sometime, but my hair is so dark that it would probably need to be bleached first. The hair mask/conditioner that I got was even made for dark brown hair, but it didn't work out because I guess my hair is black and won't hold color easily.

I didn’t dye my hair for decades since I was in high school, but for the past 2 or so years, my hair has a lighter brown balayage.

It’s a running joke in my family that my natural hair color is purple. Cuz I’ve been dying it purple for almost a decade now lol. In the last couple years I’ve also added a sort of undercut section that’s blue, but then most is still purple. It’s definitely a commitment to keep up with it but I love it and can’t see myself any other way

I've had it dyed at a hair place once, will never do that again. They messed it up TWICE!

After that debacle I did it myself once and it came out ten times better than what the hair place did. It was my first time dyeing hair too, like I don't think an amateur should get the results with less time, less money and on their first time but I did it.🙃

Basically what happened is that I went in and showed a pic of what I wanted, a purple so dark that is almost looks black in certain lighting. I wanted somethin subtle, not so bam in your face. My hair is already dark, brown, and thin, never been dyed before.

The lady bleached it pale bleached blonde which I still think was so unnecessary then coloured it medium bright purple. I went back the day after, then the managed put red toner over it and it came out a sangria colour. That was ten steps back and to the left from what I wanted!! Now it's not even purple anymore it's red!!!

I'm still mad that the lady SAID I was gonna get a darkish plum berry, and gave me bold medium purple. I even told her to go darker. She clearly did not. I'm still mad that the manager's first response was 'oh lighting editing this that' like I'm TELLING you what I want. Then the manager messed it up even worse.

So a month later I did it myself which came out soooo good but unfortunately the lady over processed my hair cause even with colour preserving shampoo, using cold water, washing my hair 2-3 times a week and not using dandruff shampoo, the colour faded back to my bleached green/orange in a month. Now my hair won't hold any colour and I have to wait another 5+ months to grow out all the bleached hair and for my natrual hair to come back in. Once that does I might just put colour over it, no bleach, I'm not ever gonna bleach my hair again. And I will never trust a 'professional' to colour my hair again.

i've dyed my hair since i was 16ish and it's been a bunch of different colors - light blonde, bright red, blue, green, dark brown. my natural color is dark blonde and i hate it, but i got tired of constant bleaching so nowadays i just dye it black every few months whenever i can afford it.
