Yes I have plans! Yes they're for some solo lonely fun!
I'm planning on cooking a party of snacks that include:
- Apple slices with caramel dipping sauce
- Rice Krispie treats with those lucky charm marshmallows (thank you for the idea, tbt fair count inside the bottle)
- Hot spiced apple cider
- Chocolate pot de creme
- Lots of grapes
I'm going to dress up in my Korillakuma kigurumi pajamas and eat my feast while crying on the internet
I really like Halloween even though I don’t so much other than wear a kitsune mask and give out candy. I normally just play Animal Crossing and do the Halloween event when that happens.
I think the best part about Halloween (or just October in general) is seeing the houses and stores become decorated the weeks before Halloween and seeing the trees change color.
Since Coronavirus has been going around, I think it’s definitely going to change, and it doesn’t help that where I live, cases are still rising unfortunately. People really don’t care about it here...
I’m probably going to cook something, maybe watch movies, or carve a pumpkin but since it’s my first year of college rn, I might be really busy though ughh
I don't have any major plans for Halloween. Sadly, over the past decade we've gotten fewer and fewer trick-or-treaters, so I've stopped handing out candy anyway. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't do it this year with the coronavirus.
Halloween is the day before my birthday, so I like to just spend the evening at home with my husband. We might watch some holiday-appropriate shows or movies and, of course, I'll play some Animal Crossing. I love spending Halloween with my villagers.
I could no longer celebrate Halloween anymore for that I live in the countryside (where nobody comes) and that I’m too old to go trick-or-treating, but it doesn’t mean I can’t do it digitally. Yeah, as long as we can have digital celebrations, COVID-19 can’t cancel Halloween completely in 2020. It just won’t be in-person like it always was.
While in Australia it’s not a huge deal, people are starting to celebrate it more and more each year. However, rarely do we ever get trick or treaters. Even when I lived in the country (more safe for kids to walk on the streets alone) I only got one or two each year. When I was a kid I went trick or treating a few times and went to a few Halloween parties.
But yeah, it’s not a big deal for most people. There’s this really strange attitude a lot of Australians have which is that Halloween is an American holiday and shouldn’t be celebrated at all. But they’re just lame party poopers imho!
I am a huge horror movie fan so I try to watch only horror movies I haven’t seen before during the month of October. I also try to decorate my house (nothing too elaborate though). That’s pretty much the extent of it!
I’m so excited for whatever is in the ACNH Halloween update
If things are safe by the time Halloween happens, I'll try to go trick or treating. I've done that for as long as I can remember, over a decade and I wasn't able to do that last year since I was pretty busy. But maybe I'll definitely try to go if I have enough time and if the pandemic winds down, which doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon at least in America. Well, I'll probably think of some costume on my own, probably just dress up with the clothes I already have and see what I can do with that. I did try dressing up as a hippie the last time I went, wasn't entirely successful though. And yeah, I haven't actually really played the ACNL Halloween event at all so I might try to do that as well.
My wife and I usually watch Hocus Pocus and eat too much candy, so we'll probably do that this year as well! Sometimes we make those Pillsbury cookies with the ghosts or pumpkins on them, too. Also I'll be sure to wear my new Halloween shirt!
I love Halloween!! I was actually wanting to get one of those Pikachu suits this year to wear when I pass out candy, but I won't be passing out candy and it's an unnecessary expense rn. I might be working, I'm not sure, but regardless I'll be playing NH and watching a movie. Probably Hocus Pocus because it's such a classic.
I also have an annual tradition of reading a horror novel during October-- this year it's gonna be The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.
I was thinking of buying a big pumpkin and making a bunch of different recipes with it (like pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, and roasted pumpkin seeds), since I've gotten more into baking recently. I'll probably just have them for my dinner and play AC for the halloween event. The virus is having a second wave in my country so unfortunately I don't think I'll be seeing my friends
I'm so excited for Halloween! The week before Halloween I will be in Boston with my friends. We plan on going to a few scare/scream parks for some spooky fun, socially distanced of course.
But when I get home I might carve a pumpkin, or try. Or... I could just dress up in my flying squirrel kigurumi and watch movies in a blanket fort~ uwu
I'm planning on doing a home trick-or-treating for my little boy. Unique and memorable! I'm thinking he can knock on some of our home doors to trick or treat and we'll give him candy. We'll also maybe do a candy hunt, kind of like an Easter-style Halloween. Yes, it's sad that he won't be able to trick-or-treat outdoors as usual, but I think this experience will be fun, too! Just have to be a bit creative
