I've been pretty lucky on all my villager hunts so none have extended into the 100's thank god

But I definitely had this moment when I was trying to find Wolfgang; on all my previous hunts I'd run into him at least once while trying to find others, but on the one time I'm looking for him he eluded me for like 80 something tickets

I spent a lot of tickets looking for Kyle and I found Sherb four times. Sherb was also a random move in for me prior to this. I just gave up looking for Kyle and bought him from someone instead.

I've been lucky with my villager hunts, I don't think I've gone over about 60? Usually, after a while, I just pick a villager that looks interesting enough to have on my island for a while. I don't have the patience to keep hunting for that amount of time. I don't think I saw any one villager more than the others, either?

The campsite helped me to get the last few villagers I wanted, though!

yeah village hunting is fun for the first few hours and then it turns awful, especially with the nonstop repeats

my longest hunt was over 500+ tickets for reneigh on my old island and i never ended up finding her lmao

The only times I had a villager hunt under 100 tickets were for Audie and Raymond who were both under 30 tickets. I wasn’t even looking for Raymond but once I actually saw him I had a change of heart. I’m honestly more amazed people are luckier and think 100 tickets is enough/pretty good? My luck is really bad, I’m pretty sure all of my hunts were more than 200 tickets actually. Tammi took 700-something tickets.

But hey, I did it and got all my former dreamies once, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the experience. I have amiibo cards now. If anyone has any doubts… villager hunting isn’t fun if it turns out like this, I highly recommend getting cards instead, so long as you can afford them. Who knows, maybe they’ll still be useful next game, or if you have to start a new town, or something…

I can’t find the appeal of hunting for villagers, im so happy that I bought everyone’s amiibos. I went through 50 tickets looking for Ozzie and after that, I said nope and found a listing for his card and bought it. The idea of going through hundreds of tickets seems so draining to me. More power to the people who can do it. I can not seem to do it without being bored out of my mind within 10 tickets. I bet it is super rewarding though when you find your dreamie!

I remember when the game first came out, I really wanted Rudy but I wasn't in a rush. He appeared on the 1st or 2nd island after the first initial 3. I couldn't be more amazed by my luck. It was like it was meant to be. I was especially happy since this would mean Rudy wouldn't live in one of the starter homes.

I was very lucky when I was looking for villagers. I got most of my penguin villagers with under 15 tickets when I wasn’t looking for them. The longest villager hunt I went on was 80 before I had Chabwick’s Amiibo card. Didn’t find him but got tired and asked Dom.I have decided that I’m not using more then 20 tickets on villager hunts. I now have a good amount of Amiibo cards so I have a villager ready to scan in just in case a villager hunt takes longer then 20.

Thankfully I'm never looking for one specific villager. Usually if I'm island hopping, I'm either just looking for someone cute that's not a specific personality type (because I already have two of them) or I'm looking for someone that fits the current or upcoming season. Like right now, if I were to go island hopping, I'd really be looking for a villager that fits the fall and Halloween times. But I already have Biff, who isn't perfect for fall but I think will look good with the fall colors anyway, Maple, and Wart Jr. So if anything, I'd really be hoping for somebody great for HALLOWEEN.

So far the highest amount of NMT I've used in one session is twenty-four, which I've actually done twice. The first time I went through that many I found Fang, my number one ultimate most loved villager ever. So that session was very well worth it. The second one I wound up taking Purrl, who I felt had a good enough look for Halloween.

Oof, I feel this. I've been trying to find Stitches for a long time, but literally have had no luck. Sometimes I find it easier to get them from someone else rather than spending so much NMTs on them.

I feel you on this. During the first 5 months of NH, I went through around 2100 tickets looking for Lucky. I found Judy, Sherb and Raymond quite a few times during that, in order to further fund my hunt. When I finally found Lucky on an island, it felt low key surreal.

As of right now I've been back to hunting to complete a dog island (with Poppy as a guest star villager). I'm right around 300 tickets looking for Daisy in specific.

Literally. I found Raymond within like 5 tickets when I first started playing and I wasn’t even looking for him. Spent over 300 looking for Willow and nothing. Gave up in the end and just traded for her to preserve my sanity.

The first time I ever went villager hunting, in March 2020 when certain villagers were super hard to get from other people, I went looking for Static the grumpy squirrel. And I found him on my third ticket.
Then when I wanted Zucker, I found him after ten tickets. Then when I was looking for Ankha I wasted like 400 tickets before I gave up and got her off Nookazon (which was a mistake because she was heavily gifted and the guy lied to me). Other than that I don’t think I’ve done much other villager hunting.
