October 15:Write a short poem about Autumn!

I, myself, have an acrostic poem blatantly not stolen from Jacksfilms.
Halloween.
A
Lovely
Little
Occurence
Where
Everybody
Embraces
Necrophilia.
Thank you!

October 15:Write a short poem about Autumn!
The following by Kevin Mark Pe?afiel Malone (me, yay):

Another Lively Shiver

A hundred dawns respire through
Spiraling foliage and slim flowers.
A powdery mildew takes hold,
Shadows retreat into rotting husk.
Yet the red canopy of aged oak
Meets the bracing breath of God
With another lively shiver at dusk.

Autumn is cool
Unusual colours of many leaves!
Trees are all bare!
Under expected weather, you can find britain!
Many people go trick or treating!
Nobody remembers what Halloween used to be.

inb4 someone with 20000 TBT bells win the 100TBT bells

Leaves begin to fall
I like my pumpkin spice latte tall
Autumn is the best time of year
Great weather and halloween costumes to fear
I get to wear jackets and look fine and dandy
I hope in this October giveaway I acquire a yellow candy

My Autumn Poem Entry:
Yellow, yellow, yellow,
The leaves are all yellow,
and orange,
and red,
until their all dead.

October 15:Write a short poem about Autumn!

Falling leaves
Falling
Please
Fall on me

Why is it still green here?

Falling leaves
No one
Sees
I sit down

Why is it still green here?

Falling leaves
Falling
Tears
I despair

It's always green here.

I'm writing a haiku :)
The woven old leaves,
The trees depart with their branches,
Those bare, sodden trees.

Ack competition with Zulehan.
Off the top of my head: (cause I don't have the time to be technical lolz)

Autumn Song: Lost at Sea

Vast and fleeting the ocean roars;
Encompassing the memories I often longed for.
Our ship went down before the shore;
And now my presence has become nothing more.
Thus I sing my Autumn Song;
To the promise of gentle winds and quiet breeze;
For I hope it not be long, and with this lore of ease;
Maybe I can find my way back to those trees.
Back to reds and yellows and peace;
All of which, I can't wait to see.
To family and friends who have forgotten me;
To those gatherings with banquets I'd often leave;
This was not something I'd want to foresee;
How I can miss it to such a degree.
I'm tired of the blue and pale greens;
Autumn simply sucks when you're lost at sea.

Autumn
Undergoing the change of seasons
The sky is cloudy
Under the red leaved tree
Moth of October
Nights are silent

I'm tired of the blue and pale greens;
This one feels melancholic and contemplative. I especially like the use of blue and pale green rather than the red, yellow, and brown that typifies autumn poems. If not already clear, I like this line most of all. Oh, and it reminded me of Icelandic folk singer S?ley's 'Blue Leaves':

I sailed in the forest with you
My head was covered with blue
Leaves from the party we left
We threw all our drinks in the bag
We put it on the table
We ate them

After the night I woke up
My head was still on the
Table and my eye sailed away in the boat we came on

We jumped into the water
We ate it
We got my eye from the ocean
And we put it on
And we put it on

I sailed from the forest with you
The leaves in the boat were yellow, green and blue
And we threw them in the air, it was rain
Leaving the sky only for us
We put them on the table
We ate them

The last warm breeze rolls through
A final adieu to lazy summer
The air grows brisk and cold
And the trees change their color

Days grow shorter
The sun retreating early for a nap
Soon the time will come
To don your winter cap

Fear not of Jack Frost
He only teases the leaves and grass
Enjoy the colored beauty now
Before it all falls en masse

My autumn poem: :blush:

"Hello" said the wind as he bowed and grinned
At the door of my open tent ...
Then in he came through the canvas frame
Old, and grey, and bent
"Where have you been?" I asked of him
And he spoke with gusting breath
"I've been swirling through the autumn hues
Of foliage brilliant in death
I've been dancing about with windy shouts
Through piles of rustling leaves
And now I'll go, but I want you to know
As I leave your camp by the lake
That soon I'll come with pelting drums
With pouring rains in my wake
So tend your fire and bank it higher
For Winter is nipping my heels
And soon I'll blow with a frozen snow
That this autumn glory conceals!"

Oh man to have someone think of THAT particular song is great XD actually I was writing that to this made up tune in my head that's actually similar to Soley. It's incredibly amusing that you kinda caught on.
