Umm.. Yeah. Critique, please! I don't care if it's harsh, I just want tips on shading, anatomy, yeah.

Your animal drawings are cute, but the humans definitely need some work.

Try doing lineart for your drawing first. The hair looks kinda blobby and i suggest you use a better drawing app/system because it looks very pixely... i suggest using paint tool sai. Try looking up tutorials for coloring as well

Shading on humans is bad. Try blending more.
Eyes are extremely out o fplace with rest o/ drawing so I suggest trying a different style?
Maybe more fitting for it.
Try practicing flow, and face structure.

overall:
7/10

And to the op, as an artist, it isnt really a critique, so if you dont want my advice just disregard this, but i'd stay away from trying to do anime. I think that's a mistake a lot of beginners make when they are in there first years of seriously drawing and its not the best thing to try and recreate because as you practice it, you aren't training yourself to use proper proportions. I've noticed this in a lot of newer artists, so i'd say if you like anime and want to draw it first, make sure you're learing regular human anatomy first, and then apply it to an anime style you like. this way, you'll have better propotions and eventually you'll have some kind of original blend that's all your own

I'd reccomend making your lines smaller and neater.

Perhaps sketch somehing out, then line it out with more neat/ clear lines.
The human in your first picture .. Their eyes are very weird looking because the lines are way too big that outline it.
Also try to make your faces more ovular/ circular.. Right now it's a mush between the two.

Good luck! I'm an artist trying to improve as well!

...How does anime not have proportions. Over than the eyes and/or boobs, I see no problem in the body. Unless your talking about THESE

I agree, i made that mistake and since a year ago i found that my anatomy was ****. I've had to restart and start practicing correct proportions and now my art has become a lot better.

Thank you! Is Paint Tool Sai free? If not, how much does it cost?
Also, I was saying oops to using the Swastika symbol...XD. I really want to do line art, but the program I use doesn't have a layers option or anything, so it's hard to do sketches D: These are really good sugestions, I'll try!

The thing about anime is true, but it's kind of true with anything, a lot of people make the mistake of copying an artist's style that they really, really like. The problem with this is that styles are usually exaggerated forms of life around us, and if you don't understand how something works, you can't break the "rules" so to speak, because...you don't know what those rules are. So if you're serious about art, draw what you see, not what someone else has already drawn. If you're just doing this as a hobby, look up tutorials on deviantART, there's some great resources there for anatomy, coloring, shading, anything you can think of.

As for critique, here are my first thoughts. It looks like it's been drawn with MS paint. It's very pixellated. If that's the intent, that's fine, there's nothing specifically wrong with MS paint if that's what you're going for. Paint Tool Sai is a nice, cheaper alternative to Photoshop, where you can use a tablet and it's really cool because you can paint and create stable, smooth lineart with it. As for colors, they're okay. The shading needs a lot of work. I would suggest looking up lighting tutorials for how to see how light and color interact with one another.

Usually the trial is free, think it costs around $70.

Or just google "Paint Tool SAI Torrent"

You know, I have never personally used Gimp but a lot of people have told me they like it. The thing is, each program has its perks and disadvantages, you kinda have to play around and see which one fits you!

There is a way to get the full version of SAI but i forgot where i got it from, sorry :c try deviantart, i think i found a link but be careful cuz they might have viruses on the wrong ones
