I used to cry a lot as a kid (especially at all those sad-dog-films), but as I've grown up, it just kind of seemed to stop. of course it still happens (because I'm human), but I think that I've reached a "normal" tears-to-life ratio.
But, my friends and I recently went to see Grave of the Fireflies at our local theatre's "Ghibli-fest." (don't worry, no spoilers, because I think everyone should go see it). And oh boy, it is emotional. It's funny, because I didn't actually cry during the movie. But, multiple times throughout I felt tears coming on. Especially within the first 5 minutes for some reason? I don't know, the mood-visuals-and soundtrack were just so good.
But, when I got home that day, about an hour later, it just started to come out. I didn't even feel that sad. It just felt kind of good.
