Its hard to do without TT'ing, I tried once and input weather + shooting star sightings based on screenshots but was unsuccessful. Since I started TT'ing recently I am thinking about trying it again! I think it would be super cool to know when rainbows and stuff occurs for pictures and my DA. But since my town is no where near completed its not something urgent for me.

I found mine with shooting star times. I only did minutes rather than seconds. It's useful for knowing exactly when I need to pay attention for star fragments.

There are weather forecasts on the in game TVs if you watch at the right time of day.

I'm not sure if its correct yet, but I just got a seed for DevilFalls after only 8 days of inputting weather. If it's right, then I'll get a heavy shower on November 11.

I found my seed after several in-game days (I'm a time traveler). Logging clear, sunny, or clouds, never seemed to narrow down the search even a little. One day in September I had a double rainbow, which helped immensely, and a Celeste visit (I didn't see any shooting stars so I left that part blank). However, I noticed the list getting shorter after logging rain, and I had several days of rain in a row, and found it after that.

You can get it without logging the times of the stars. Just mark that there was a shower.

Update if anyone cares, that seed is wrong unless Halloween gets a special weather pattern. It's supposed to rain all day today, and it's not raining. Now I have to delete everything and start gathering it again. I was completely sure of the weather I put too

I'm on the same boat as you !!!
I was supposed to get rain and a double rainbow in the morning and it didn't happen.

Other than that, the results I got from the seed thing are so accurate every single time!
Everything from the exact moment of getting shooting stars, to getting rainbows, to experiencing aurora borealis (very rare) when I TT'd to winter.

I've been wondering too if we get special weather during this event ..

Event Days usually get a special weather pattern so that it’s sunny. Your seed is probably alright. Don’t worry until it’s off on a normal day.

Nope, not yet, perhaps I will look after it in the future. But I don't mind it to not find it, as it's actually not so important for me to be honest.

I found mine pretty easily after logging some days of rain and a couple of nights of shooting stars. It took me around a week and a half to get my seed.

Remember not to use weather from event days, such as holidays, but also Fishing Tourneys, August Fireworks, et al. Those days are hard-coded to be good weather and will not help return an accurate result.
