Have you decided on a theme for your island yet?

I named my island after a tiny island off the Ligurian coast (totally didn't look at the list of islands on Wikipedia), so I'm going for a nature-y, overgrown Elysian fields vibe. Main colours will be orange, pink, white, yellow and pastel-y colours in general.

Dinosaur/prehistory themed! Gonna put fossils outside everywhere, and my final list of villagers includes all alligators, as well as Goose and Tucker maybe.

not sure if this really counts as a theme but i really like to keep all the villagers in one section, and then have a section for shops/town plaza separated by the river. i like to keep my campsite separate too. i don’t really have a “theme” but i like to add little areas for activities. for example i’ll probably put a little park somewhere

I want mine to be pretty natural, the only things I have planned out are a hot springs area and some waterfalls/lots of trees surrounding my museum.

Other than that, I've noticed a lot of people have residential areas where they keep all of their villagers, but I know that I want mine to be spread out all over the place to give my island a more rural vibe. I also like a color scheme of white/blue/purple/green (i LOVE the new green mums, I'm definitely gonna be using those a lot)

I'm the same as you, I like white/blue/purple/black/pink colour schemes and I like the houses to be all over the island as it does feel like an adventure as someone else also said!

I actually had all my houses on NL directly next to each other and I never actually liked it that much because it just felt uninteresting when walking through the town.

I'm not dedicated enough to stick to a theme so I'll try to go with natural

I really want my island to keep its deserted island vibes. I usually like pastel or gothic stuff, but it won't really fit so I plan to keep those around my house and have the rest of the island as natural as I can - for the moment ! Maybe I will change my mind in the future, especially when I'll see what people are doing with their island and all the beautiful items that the game have and will have in future updates!

I really want to do a theme park/carnival/resort island, I'm just hoping there will be enough furniture to accommodate! Going to incorporate rides (I'm crossing my fingers for a ferris wheel), food, stalls, games, and balloons. I will also have a beachy restaurant/bar, bikes, and private beach for sunbathing, and my Island Rep's house will be the haunted house up on a hill, guarded by a spoopy graveyard and Godzilla statue.

I'll probably be going with a Japanese theme! I've already started planning things out, although I'm taking my sweet time with it. I'd really love bamboo but the game refuses to give me a bamboo island, so I'm crossing my fingers for that. :'D
