Island Inspiration: How did you find inspiration for your island and develop your own ideas for it?

i like to use Pinterest and Tumblr to search for island inspo!!

finding a theme is a bit more difficult because ur tastes can always change.. my first island was a sort of witchy forest, with lots of neutral colours and natural benches and things like that; but recently i realized that i’m not really into that aesthetic anymore (or at least it’s just not what i want for my own island) so i decided to reset

now i’m going for a sort of run-down kidcore city! i have a Pinterest board that i use to collect images that i think capture my own general vibe, and that’s the theme that i came up with after looking through it and thinking about how i could translate that aesthetic into ACNH

i also really like to play with terraforming and having lots of “texture” on my island – here’s a photo from my old save where you can kinda see all the little cliffs n stuff i had spread around

but anyways, i think moodboards are ur best friend when it comes to this stuff!! save anything that you like so you have something to look through when ur feeling uninspired

I mainly use social media platforms like YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram for inspo for my island. Btw, you don't need to look at Animal Crossing content to get some ideas for your island. Playing other cozy games with customization features similar to AC can inspire me a lot. In addition, I find that searching for interior decor ideas on Pinterest helps a lot with developing my own ideas.
