Have you even been infected with a virus?

I had the Metropolitan Police Virus on my computer a few years ago.
Basically, you start up the laptop, and;
"We have found CP (cheese pizza ':j) on your computer. If you do not pay ?250 in 48 hours, we will arrest you."
It was my sister's fault, she downloaded some stupid thing called xFire on my laptop.

Not sure if this really counts as a virus, but I was on a chat on my very first laptop, and I clicked a link which led me to a site called "Mudkipz" and it was just a picture of a Mudkip which would not close. I restarted my laptop to try and get rid of it, and the laptop hasn't turned on since.

I still have it, if I can ever figure out a way go fix it, but I don't need it anymore.

Someone I knew had something similar.

It was one of thise FBI viruses where it says "you've been caught viewing CP/other illegal material and your phone/PC is locked. Please pay $____".

I remember getting a virus in 2012 and i dont remember what it was called but it was telling us to click something and agree to some term, but we didnt and it was like "oh ya ur email login and password just got stolen! now your bank info is at risk! now this is stolen!"

everything was fine lol

yupp it wouldn't allow me to exit out or anything so i freaked out until my parents got home and they ended up paying like $200??? like two months later i realized it was a scam
i literally could've just shut off my computer but nahhh

yes, when i was much younger i just downloaded everything. like those butterflies you can download for them to just fly on ur screen

HAHA oh man, at one point in my life, my laptop was filled with adware/spyware/ransomware/basically everything. I wasn't a very smart preteen and forgot to tell my parents that my antivirus license expired. I also uh downloaded a lot of things that now scream to me 'ADWARE' like those downloadable icons you change your cursor into.

<: It cleared up eventually when I got a new antivirus haha.
