Yes, I upset Tangy when I accidentally opened up a present to her from another villager, she was so pissed at me I thought she was going to move out. I actually felt guilty as she's always telling me we're best friends so I bought her a matching galaxy print jacket to mine as an apology.

It happened once and it was devastating 
I used to have a very long, one tile wide landbridge behind Resident Services.
Chops had moved in very recently after I had finally found him on the New Neighbor Network. He was my smug of choice after I couldn't connect with my first campsite villager and I was very excited to have him and eager to build up our friendship. He seemed so different from my previous smug and I really, really liked him right away, everything seemed to go greatly. However, that fateful day I needed to cross the landbridge and Chopsy was standing right at the edge of it, in a spot where I couldn't pass him. Not knowing that villagers actually react to shoving, I pushed him across the whole bridge
He didn't even get mad, but instead he seemed absolutely crushed and his dialogue was heart wrenching, he told me something along the lines of that was not alright and not his old self anymore. I felt like a monster. He accepted my apology, but still.
Now I sometimes bump into my villagers when they get in my way, but never to a degree that it would affect them.

I accidentally hit Reneigh several times with a net to try and catch a flea. She was not happy at all. I also pushed a villager into a pitfall seed to see what happened. I felt soooooo bad!!! I upset them and I was sooo sorry.
It was funny but I never intentionally upset them again. I love my little villagers.

Not intentionally but I do have a very bad habit of hitting my villagers with the net if I'm trying to catch a flea or if I'm holding it when trying to talk to them. Usually I'll put the net away when I'm just stopping for a chat or to give them a gift to avoid this but a couple of months ago I kept hold off it and ended up hitting Raymond too many times by accident and then felt really bad when he got mad that I had to quickly find and wrap a gift for him to try and cheer him up.
I may have upset a couple of new villagers by talking to them too much...
In terms of actually angering them, I can't remember who it was, but one of my villagers just stood directly in the middle of a 1-block path across the water and they got mad at me for pushing them off. I mean really, you're blocking the one path across and you're mad at me for trying to get past? Pfft.

I was curious, so I maay have tried out the pitfall seed a few times, just to see.
I didn't like seeing how upset they were, but standing in the bushes watching/waiting was kinda fun. Poor boys, thank you for putting up with all the stuff I put you through in general xD
At least they didn't stay upset for long. I gave them expresso makers the next day lol

I try not to anger my villagers since I really like them overall. Sometimes tho they get on my nerves when they bother me while I'm terraforming (sitting down right in the middle of where I'm working) and once they get up I will push them away and try to block the area off to them with holes or barriers. If they get mad when I push them too bad; I get mad when they sit in the middle of my work space. But at the end of the day we all love each other so they don't take it personally I hope

Oh God Yes, but they get over it really quick. The hate when they fall into pitseed traps or when you keep pushing them out of the way. I don't do it very often now, but was funny to see there reaction.

The dialogue they have when their in the hole is kinda funny too.
A few times accidentally. I am hopeless at talking to animals when holding a net without hitting them, and a few times I've thought I won't bother putting the net away, I'll just try to get into the right position and I'll be fine, only to find out that I couldn't and angered them by repeatedly hitting them instead. Nowadays, I put my net away before talking to the animals, even if I am going to use it later one as I don't want to take that risk.
i’m not proud of it but i have. after finding out that villagers that you have high friendship with are less likely to ask to move out, i went after villagers that i wanted out with a net to try and lower my friendship with them so that the likelihood of them wanting to leave would increase and bro i genuinely felt so bad every time . i don’t even know what i was thinking considering even just whacking a villager accidentally makes me feel like crap lol. but i’ll absolutely never be doing that again - i would much rather have to deal with an island full of weeds and cockroaches rather than deliberately upset someone again, even if that someone is made up of a bunch of pixels. ^^;

I once upset someone (I think it was Erik?) by trying to push him into frame for a photo, but I honestly didn't mean to! 
The paths on my island are pretty wide so I've never really had any need to push anyone out of the way before, and I think I kind of...forgot it was a thing? I felt so bad about it, and was honestly a little shocked! Is it just me, or were villagers much easier to anger on the old games? I'm surprised to have only come across it once on NH.

So I have a story about this one villager who really made me upset actually, but they got upset with me apparently. So when I was terraforming my island last year, this villager by the name "Cookie" was blocking my way to make a river, because she was so busy fishing. I tried pushing her to get out of the way, but then she just mad acting like I was bothering her. Feeling annoyed I hit her with my net just to knock sense into her. She got more mad, so then I pushed her all the way to beach and dig holes around her so she would not bother me.
Since then whenever I terraform I have to put fences to stop villagers from going near the spot I'm terraforming so they won't fish or even sit that blocks my way. I wish I didn't have to do this, but because of villagers like Cookie who are too stubborn to not move when you're trying to terraform your island it just left me with no other choice.

I used to, and yes, on purpose, mostly pushing them out of the way on a narrow area where many of them like to sit or fish, blocking the path. But when I actively began to gift for their photos I started going around instead. Must have bugged Charlise the most because she was the last to give me her photo.
LOL yes i have made them mad on purpose! i had rocket and she would Not leave my town for Any Reason soooo i walked around hitting her with the net, putting pitfall seeds in front of her house, i made a piece of walkway that said GET OUT and put That in front of her house hahaha! i took months to get rid of her. it was pretty funny getting her fuming all the time though.
