have you ever been bitten by a swarm of fire ants?

Thankfully no?? My skin reacts really badly to bug bites so I try to always check for ants and stuff when I sit on the ground.

When I was younger, around 8 or 10 (don’t remember when), I was with my older sister and our babysitter watching cows and horses across a fence. Well, unbeknownst to me, I was standing in a fire ant pit and they were eating my feet up. Once I started crying in pain, our babysitter had to rush my older sister and I home, and my mom made a bath for me with certain chemicals to help heal me right away.


This was over a decade ago though, and I’ve never stepped in a swarm since. My feet are fine now.

I don't think I have... I've been bitten by ants, but not a giant swarm of them Mosquitos on the other hand... TnT they bite me through my clothes so... I'm never safe from them oof :[

No. I grew up in an area that didn't have fire ants. I live in an area with them now, but I've never been bitten by them. I know they exist though and am constantly looking for their mounds on the ground. I have fire ant poison that I sprinkle around the mound whenever one appears in my yard. I normally don't like applying poison for anything, but fire ants can be nasty and their colonies spread FAST. If you don't take them out ASAP, you'll have a giant colony underground and a whole lot of mounds all over your yard.

I have never actually seen a fire ant in real life, so no, I've never been bitten by one or multiple of them. Hopefully that will continue to be the case.

I did when I was in elementary school I didn't notice I was sitting right on them and they attacked me real bad.

Yes!!! I sat on log and one bit me.. somewhere very intimate hahah. It was so painful I was so confused.

I don?t think I?ve ever even seen a fire ant, the only bugs I?ve ever been bit by is mosquitoes.
