Have you ever been hacked?

I?ve had my debit card skimmed this morning and someone made a purchase at an adult entertainment mart. I?m only 20, and as far as I?m aware, you have to be 21 to go in the store the purchase was made in.

I?ve got it taken care of and I?m getting a new card. Has anyone had this happen to them? I always thought it could never happen to me, but it did.

I haven’t been before. I’ve been in situations where I could have been, but no one has tried it before because I have friends who are experts in CS (computer science) I can call upon to revenge-hack for me, or just help me out in general. Safe to say no one wants to mess with me because of that.

Ages ago, I had a YouTube that primarily posted content relating to a chat site.
It was fairly old and had about 400+ subs.
Randomly one day, someone somehow managed to get into it and change the email. For some reason, using my email to retrieve it did nothing, even though it should since I created it with that.
(Older YouTube channels had more restrictions at the time.)

Nothing else happened to it at the time, but then months later, they deleted all the videos and uploaded some random movie to it.

I was planning on deleting it anyhow, but it was still quite bizarre.
Probably just the result of a weak password.

Well I had my dad's credit card number stored in my phone in case he ever asked me for something and then apparently the number was being used by someone unrecognized, thankfully though the cash was returned and the person using it was caught.

So yeah I guess I have been hacked. :/

Our netflix account got hacked by some spanish people. Maybe portuguese i dont remember. Our interface got changed into spanish/portuguese and had their profiles. I think the email was changed too. We were paying for their ****.

Unfortunately, yes. I have been hacked once. Account was targeted for it's wealth on an online game. They even got the account banned! >:

As for your debit card being skimmed, that is rough. But I'm glad you seemed to have gotten it sorted out! Just don't use public ATMs. Stick to using them at banks, as those ATMs are often checked daily for skimmers. Unless you ABSOLUTELY have to use a public ATM, just refrain from using them. Skimmers can be installed on them in a matter of seconds.

My mum had her bank balance reduced by a few thousands thanks to an old catalogue she was subscribed to selling her details or something. The bank immediately called her and resolved the issue though.

I had a few transactions made by a hacker on my card a few months back. They literally drained my account, i was just so lucky that my fraud claim came back and they determined that fraud was committed and i got all of my money back. People have nothing better to do with their time and lives i guess. I'm sorry that happened to you, are you going to be refunded?

I don?t know if this would count as ?getting hacked? but I once had been auto-kicked when playing the last weeks of Metal Gear Online. It was a really good multiplayer even if I did join pretty late. I think I got someone really mad that they set up a script to my ingame account that would auto kick me back to the dashboard

When I was younger I made this friend on Movie star planet. She told me that she knew a way to get free membership, and that all I needed to do was give her my password and she'd log in and enable it really quick. I gave it to her since she had been really nice up until this point (I was really gullible back then too lmao). I remember trying to log back in a few minutes later, but my password had been changed.. I logged into my sister's account and sent her a message asking how it was going and if she had changed my password? She didn't reply and I noticed my character had changed clothes. That's when I realized she was sending all my stuff to HER account. I messaged her again asking wtf she was doing and she laughed in my face, calling me dumb and basically said it was her account now.
I remember logging off and crying because I had worked really hard to earn the items I had. I was OBSESSED with that game.
But ohohoho.. 11 year old me wasn't as dumb as you think, let me tell you. ;> After I shook off the sad feels, I realized I could figure out what she had changed my password to by clicking the "forgot password" button so the website would email me a reminder.
And guess what, this dumb ***** changed my password to the same one she used LMAO. Soo I logged into her account and sent all my stuff back lololol.
I wasn't necessarily hacked, since I gave out my password, but I guess you could say I was scammed?? I know I would be devastated if someone stole from my bank account tho. ;; I hope anyone who has been in that situation has been able to get their money back. What happened to me was nothing in comparison to bank account fraud.

I've never had anything happen with my debit card. But a long time ago I was hacked on gaia online. I never got the account back and never figured out who did it.

Only once. I was studying abroad last semester and went to Spain for a few days with a friend, then a week or two later I got a notification that my card was charged over 2,000 dollars from a resort in Spain that I had never been to. My dad took care of it for me and all was well

oath2order consistently has access to my TBT account. I even have 2FA enabled, but he somehow guesses the 6-digit code every time. I am incredibly afraid at what he will do and say.
