HELP! Did I screw up?

Hey everyone, please help!

So after setting my new villager from the campsite (villager Nº6) I set out my first plot for new villagers (villager Nº7).
I found Marina (yay) and invited her in. Then I thought maybe I should play with my luck and set out another terrain for villager Nº8. However, I went to an island but found nothing. Will some rando move in tomorrow? Because I invited Marina, she's supposed to move in tomorrow right? Would that give me tomorrow to find villager Nº8 on my islands?

Not entirely sure but for me I had to wait until the next day. Nobody took the plot and I had time to visit the mystery islands.

I don't wanna be that guy but... there is a chance of a random villager taking that 8th plot by tomorrow though. Hopefully no one takes it.

I had the same experience as you thinking that I could keep inviting island villagers in one day. But island villagers can be invited once a day. Once you invited someone, you have to wait till tomorrow. So don't post another plot unless you'll go island hopping.

yeah, there's a likelyhood of it being gone. I don't know if you have amiibo cards, but they help for kicking someone out in case someone random moves in (just don't give them away to someone else right now, seeing as there's a glitch with it)

Your campsite villager will move in tomorrow
Marina will move in the day after that
Then villager #8 will move in.
It is possible that a random villager could buy the plot. Just check tomorrow to see if it's sold!
