Help me choose a character name??

I want to thank everyone who voted and commented! The last time I checked this Winnie was in third place, but I decided to choose it anyway. I had no idea people were still voting and now it's in first place, lol.

I really like all of these names a lot, but Winnie feels the most like "me". People have called me that in real life as a nickname and it sounds the most similar to my real name. So Winnie it is!

I was never this stressed out about choosing a name in previous games, but this time I really am for some reason, lol. I currently have it narrowed down to 4 that I like, and all have some sort of meaning to me. I wanted to see what you guys like the best though. I currently started a new ACNL town and made a character with each of these names so I can see how they feel after a while.

Winnie- Sounds the closest to my real game Whitney

Stella- Fiance's suggestion. He's Italian and it's the literal word for Star. He sometimes calls me Sparkles, so he thought Stella would be cute

Willa- My dad, who has passed away was William

Josie- My mom's name is Josette

Josie is my favorite out of those 4 options. I've liked the name Josie or Josephine for a long time. Your mom's name, Josette, is also very pretty. My second choice would be Willa. I do love the name Stella, but both Stella and Winnie are also villager names and I don't know how you feel about potentially having a villager in your town with the same name. If that's not an issue, then I would put Stella second.

I hope you're able to choose a name that you love in the end.

My favorite is Winnie, but there is a villager by that name so I voted for Willa since it's my second favorite and the most unique out of the bunch. They're all super cute though, whichever one you go for will be amazing!

Oh, gosh! I can definitely see why you need help choosing lol, those are all cute names. In my personal opinion, Winnie or Stella is probably the cutest, but I think Willa is what I’d go with. It’s got a touching meaning behind it and while it might not be the most unique name ever, what does that matter if it means something to you? If not Willa, I’d go with Stella

Winnie & Stella are both already existing villagers (horse and sheep, respectively), but i guess you've already experienced this pickle because Whitney is also an existing villager. I chose Josie because i think it's cute and i don't really see that name often in real life or in game.

Thank you! Josie is probably my favorite name out of the bunch. If I ever have a daughter Josephine with the nn Josie is definitely on my list.

Thank you, lol. I really really like them all, so I guess I really can't go wrong. It's been nice seeing what others think though. I think I'm going to go with Winnie because it sounds the most like "me" but I might use the other names for alternate characters.

I definitely see what you're saying, but I like all of the names and was having a hard time choosing. Getting opinions just helps me to make a final decision. Even though Winnie came in third place I think I'm choosing that one. It was nice to see that all the names were pretty evenly matched though!

I like Stella. But I also like the idea of the tribute name now that I see the meaning behind Willa.

I really appreciate your concern, that's very sweet. But he passed when I was quite young, over 20 years ago. So it would have been more of a tribute to him/way to honor his memory.

That being said, I decided to go with Winnie since I have been called that in real life and it sounds the most similar to my real name.
