Same here! First I was really discouraged by seeing all those stunning artists, but now it has become an inspiration!

Awww, that's good! I have a hard time taking astoundingly amazing artists, though (like some I can take, but the ones that kinda steal your breath is what I'm talking about mainly). I have the worst timings sometimes, too, where it's when I finish a piece that I'm really proud of, and then it's like "WHAT BETTER time than NOW to go look at art that will make me kill myself! c:" and I end up disappointing myself. ._. Oh well, that's just me and my stupidness I guess. D'X It's still very good that you take it for inspiration, though, since most artists are brought down in a way by seeing art they tag as "better" and decide to stop drawing ( I've seen it happen before D: ).

If nobody looks, or even worse, if they look and don't give a cookie, ... it makes me really sad. I'm the type who compares with others not only in drawing skills but also in popularity... well, I've always been the last one on popularity lists so I'm used to it.
When I started drawing years ago I never compared myself with others and I never showed it to someone, but if I think I wouldn't have done so I'd probably be one of those who would have stopped too.

Yes, I know what you mean. There a few people around here from which I've never even once gotten some kind of comment even though they comment on certain other people's threads a lot. Not sure if they hate me, or my art, or if it's not intentionally but I want it to be my goal to make them comment something nice someday c: I kinda hate it about myself that I care about that stuff so much but I can't help it ;__;
But from what I've experienced your art shop is pretty successful? ; o ;
being proud of your work is nothing bad,, or did you go overboard..?
I'm such a curious brat, I really want to know now what happened in your past xD

Well, I guess it is, surprisingly. I've actually never had this much success in a forum anywhere where I had some form of shop. I hope that I'm just as successful if I do raffles/adopts. UwU;

I actually mentioned it in the FAQ's of my art shop that probly no one read lmbo:

A. To be honest, I think it was my pride at one point. I thought my art was sooo good (which I have a hard time understanding how I thought it was good nowadays, lol), and to my sadness I actually ended up putting my brother and one of my friends down in a way. I regret it a lot, and I wish I had never done it, and I'm truly sorry that I was such a brat before, so knowing I can't fix the past and change what I did, I now instead encourage others (young and old) to keep going. (...Sorry if that got too poetic. //OTL)

Well, not my actual art. I did do customs on a digital fashion-designing site of sorts at one point, but it wasn't so busy and flocked. x3 TBT is the first place doing art commissions. I don't have a DA and I can't have one since my mom doesn't want me on there, so this is pretty much my art site kinda... lol.

My brother was trying to start, my friend was an artist though. She wasn't anything professional, though so it wasn't something like a popular DA user got discouraged or anything QUQ My brother quit, my friend quit for supposedly different reasons (but I felt I was to blame even though she said it wasn't me at all ._.), but she started back up in her own thing.

I could be the strict one now, if they really wanted to get into art they should just have ignored whatever you said to them and should have kept trying! The road of an artist will always have some negative / ignorant responses in it, it's the task of the artist to overcome them and to not give up!

Oh... I guess that's true, I've heard before that it's hard to learn German for foreigners because it has many (unnecessary xD) additions, changes and extraordinary stuff... but learning Korean would be just as difficult for me haha
