I just changed Ankha's greeting, because I am a comedic genius!

I'm Tracy, and I just realized that there are WHOLE FORUMS of people who play this game I can talk to! I'm currently cycling through villagers trying to get my dreamies, now that I've completely built up my town and paths (of course). I think I've gone about it backwards, but it's been a fun ride!

Favourite ACNL things:
- old badge man
- Wolfgang, my favourite
- eating those bamboo shoots
- staring at that giant sunfish in my aquarium

Nice to meet y'all, and I look forward to sharing/crying about my town :)

EDIT: Some rookie questions, in case anyone feels like answering them:

- how do you buy things, such as when someone trades a villager for 10 million bells? ARE YOU JUST DROPPING A METRIC TON OF BELLBAGS BY THEIR TRAIN STATION?
- similarly, I'm mostly looking to trade villagers, because I'm an evil mayor that way, what's the best way to build up feedback so people will trust me with their precious baby animals?
- lastly, who's your dream villager, I AM NOSY!

hi, welcome to TBT!
if you need anything, feel free to vm/pm me. c:

and I'll answer your questions if you'd like!
1) most people use the retail method for big trades over 10 mil, otherwise yes, you'd just have to drop tons of bell bags. which is awful.
2) the only real way to build up good feedback is to trade! :) make sure you follow the rules of whoever's town you're in and you'll have a good wifi rating in no time.
3) lolly, poppy & goldie <3

hello welcome

my favorite thing about acnl is decorating. I don't think I'll ever be done with my town bc of this lmao

1. the fastest way is the retail method and that still takes forever imo lol
2. trade or participate in giveaways, if you rate someone they'll rate you back most likely
2a. browse the villager trading plaza for giveaways, a lot of people giveaway popular villagers
3. currently it's diana, fauna and midge. I can't ever just choose one I'm so indecisive

Thanks everyone! I have one last question:

I've looked through what I can find and I understand that TBT is the currency used within The Bell Tree forums, but I'm not sure I understand why they are desirable vs in game bells (IGB, I'm assuming?)

As far as I can see they are used to buy forum based things, is that the appeal? Am I missing something? :D

Thanks!

Thanks!
IGB has gone down a lot in monetary value. The game has been out for so many years, so a lot of people have a ton of IGB that they don't need. Therefore they sell it for TBT.

Thanks Jacob! I suppose that makes sense, and it seems like a lot of effort to try and move 100 million bells. I'm not that far into the game yet, so I'm still saving IGB, but I can see how moving TBT is much easier!

yes, that's pretty much the appeal. a lot of us have been playing since the game was released, so we've got millions and millions of IGB that we really don't need anymore. TBT can be used to buy not only villagers & in game items, but also collectibles (the little pictures underneath people's info on their sidebar) which serve no real purpose, but just look cute. you'd be surprised at how much people want them + how addicting they get once you start buying them and arranging your lineup.

basically, a lot of players have no need for IGB anymore, so even if they're not into collectibles, saving up TBT is just more worthwhile then adding even more IGB to the amount they already have. c:

//jacob's post didn't show up on my phone at first so he pretty much answered your question already lol but you can read my rambling also if you'd like ;v;

Thanks Crash! I'm sure once I get more immersed in the forum I'll start obsessing over cute little candy collectibles too :) I'm still at the stage where I'm poaching beetles for bells, and then I started a second town, OOPS!

i find it more fun to beetle hunt for bells anyway :) after you get TOO rich, it starts to take away from the game in my opinion.
