I saw your post about finding Marina on a Mystery Island. Marina's really cute, and I think she's quite popular. She has the normal personality type, so she's very likable.
I think she's a good villager choice, but you'll have lots of opportunities for villagers to leave your island and be replaced with other villagers, so don't be too worried if you find you don't like a villager as much as you'd hoped!
Who were your two starter villagers? Have you been enjoying the game so far?

I had read an article one time on keeping your villagers vs letting your villagers go when they want to move. I guess a conscience choice leave or keep them.Welcome to the forums!

I have seen some fantastic villagers on peoples islands I just lost my alligator Del and he was a favorite of mine.
What your thoughts on letting them leave?
It’s always a hard choice on whether to ask them to stay, or tell them it’s ok to leave!
I always feel a little bad letting them leave, and usually I go to Harv’s and take a group photo before they leave.
I don’t like the dialogue when they’re in boxes leaving though! They sometimes say they don’t know where they’re going, which worries me that they’re leaving without any plans!
I never feel bad asking a villager to stay though, because often their dialogue is something along the lines of “I’m glad you’ve convinced me to stay!” or “I was hoping you would say that!”
