Nothing, really, just that Nintendo has taken at least a few tips as far as adding multiplayer and user-created content.Akkad said:What are you getting at?
QFT. Halo 3 isn't the first one with many of those features by a long shot.Kyle said:What the big deal when you say 'online play' as a similarity? Many games have online play.
I'm not talking about connection speed, I'm talking about the ridiculous amount of time it takes to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi. XBox Live's starts the second you start playing. Also, Friend Codes are cumbersome and inconvenient. They are different for every game, and its very difficult to set up games without talking on the computer. No messaging system, no game invites, no cross-game invites, no friends list, no leaderboards, no TrueSkill matchmaking, no convenience, bad experience, especially when compared to XBox Live.Akkad said:I see your point, though the online feature won't be all as hype as it looks. The wi-fi feature's speed depends on how far your opponent is.
They both have it, but that wasn't a great example. Halo 3 is a definite first for a lot of online content for consoles. Do you really know that much about it? Probably not.Kyle said:What the big deal when you say 'online play' as a similarity? Many games have online play.
What game before it had a file share that was also integrated on a website, and allowed you to send and receive recommendations? Also, what game can record gameplay videos, take screenshots, save maps, and game types, AND allow this all to be shared while on the console? None.TheGremp said:QFT. I have to agree with you there about everything you stated. But what I thought you meant in you're post is that because of Halo's great multiplayer success, smash bros has followed and learned some tricks from it to make its multiplayer as good with some things added that were also in the Halo franchise, which makes sense and is a smart move. Now if only Nintendo would get some great ideas about there online adding some of the things you stated in this post <_<Mino said:I'm not talking about connection speed, I'm talking about the ridiculous amount of time it takes to connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi.
