Horror movie thread

Yo, A Nightmare On Elm Street is amazing. I love watching old horror movies. Especially the Stephen King films. Cujo holds a special place in my heart, particularly, and so does Carrie with Sissy Spacek, even though I also love the remake that was out out a few years ago.

Omg yeah! Stephen king movies are the besttt! I haven't watched the remake of the IT. Looking forward to watch it asap

There's one that isn't exactly a horror movie, but it has left me with a feeling of unease that no other film has. It's called Eraserhead, watch at your own risk.

It's really good, but it ends up having more of an adventurey-type feel to it more than horror. Great movie.

I have to admit that this is my favorite type of movie. If you like films that make you feel uneasy, I would also suggest movies like Little Otik, Begotten, and Gummo. At your own risk, of course, haha.

But anyway, I don't typically like horror movies because I think they're silly... I am, however, really obsessive about psychological horror video games (Silent Hill, Rule of Rose, early Resident Evil, 999, Siren, Fatal Frame, Haunting Ground, Evil Within, Catherine, etc.)

Huh, I've never heard of those movies. I'll be sure to check them out!

Edit: May skip Begotten after some research, lol. Yet, as disturbing as it looks, I'm super intrigued...

I have never actually gotten through Begotten and that's why I listed it as something disturbing, haha. I have no idea bad how bad it actually gets, I've just seen clips and they're gross/creepy. I really hate gore in horror movies because it's a cheap scare tactic, but when it's done artistically it's interesting.

Eraser head was a master piece! Idk why this ^ scene makes me laugh xD
This lady is somehow terrifying to me lol

Thb any movie that's suppose to be scary, isn't scary at all to me. Horror movies are pretty bad to me and not scary at all I just say that they are pretty boring even the movie It is boring.

Same, the lady in the radiator always unnerved me. I think it's because she's very 1950s, and the 50s has always creeped me out. Also, those cheeks though.

I was really excited for the nun but initial reviews are bad

has anyone seen Hereditary? I finally got the chance to watch it after missing it in the theaters. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it (saw it last week) I think it's probably my favorite horror movie this year, the way that they marketed it throws you off completely from the actual movie xD the creepy imagery and storyline has stuck with me even when I try to sleep at night O.O

XD Funny that his head came off and got his skull broken.

So I've been a fan of purge movies for many years. I recently watch The first purge (4th purge movie) it was ok. I like the previous ones more than that especially the purge anarchy.

I finally got around to watching IT: Chapter 1, they just added it on Netflix Canada a few days ago and I didn't see it in theatres. As much as I know that some people are saying the second chapter isn't as good as the first, I'm still really excited to go see Chapter 2 in theatres.

I find I really like horror movies, but I limit myself to watching them only throughout the month of October to make the viewing more enjoyable. :)

I really hate cheap jump scares, though, it usually kills the movie for me when they heavily rely on jump scares over an interesting story.

Normally I don't mind gorey movies, but sometimes I might feel a little sick after watching one that's too gorey, like when I first watched Akira.

Cheesy horror films are great - they give you a laugh to balance out the uncomfort. :)

Most people hate Aliens 3....
I'm one of those people.
