So what do you guys think house building for villagers will be like? Do you think that you will get to choose if they stay permanently? Do you think we'll get to choose where they plot land? I know I for one really really hope we can choose where they move in that way they don't destroy my Hybrid flowers by throwing their house there:mad:. Do you guys think it will be any different or do you think it will be the same?

I don't think we'll be able to choose if a villager stays permanently, but we will probably be able to stop them from moving like in NL. We will be able to choose where they move into, at least we know we can with the first two, because we saw that one of the trailers.

We do get to choose where they live now.

Quote from Kyogoku.

"before they choose a spot for their home, they?ll check with you to see if it?s okay. If you don?t like where they settle down you can tell them you don?t want to build in that particular spot and move their house location to wherever you see fit."

You're most welcome!

I really liked how they finally updated NL where villagers couldn't move onto paths so in a way you could control where they moved. I think this game will have a much easier way to do that though... hopefully.

They did confirm you can choose where they put their houses, at least the first two, but I'm sure if the first two you can pick where, then all others too. Also, I don't think we can choose to keep villagers from moving, but I'm sure they will come up to you just like in past games and tell you they are moving. Who knows? They might not move out too much like in past games depending on friendship. :)

Can I just say that this is SUCH a relief. Takes a lot of the frustration out of the game!!

One thing I've always found ridiculous with villagers moving in and out is the fact that they bring their house with them.

When a house is constructed, and one leaves, the next one to move in, should buy the house outright. I mean. What gives ?

Tis about time they let us choose where to plot.

No more laying down patterns and plot resetting. ^_^

Like, how are they even able to build and remove their houses within one night? I mean, I know it's a video game, they making no sense (especially when it comes to Animal Crossing) but still...

I do like the idea that one villager just build a house and once they decided to move out, the house is still there so that another villager can go ahead and move in. And the only thing they can do with the house is just changing the look of it, for personal reasons.

Otherwise, I'm glad the game gives you now the option to decide where a villager place their house. Really helps when you plan your town and it's theme. And as for a villager staying permanently, I think they will do the same like in New Leaf. At least I doubt that a villager can now stay forever in your town unless you give them the permission to move out.

But if it's one of those really derelict houses like Kyles, then begone with it.

Aesthetics matter. I'll have to look at that house day in, day out for years possibly. ^_^
