I've been using this moisturiser for quite some time and sometimes it feels "heavy" on my skin. Im not sure if its because im applying too much hence the heavy feeling or its not the right one. The website even says that this moisturiser is suitable for oily skin which is my skin type cos its green tea. But honestly, this moisturiser makes my complexion looks oily and leaves this heavy feeling. Not sure if the heavy feeling is normal or not.

as long as your skin is as soft as a baby then it's working but if you don't like the way it looks/feels on you then you should try switching to another brand!

Maybe you are using too much? It should soak into your skin and make your skin feel soft. It shouldn't be heavy on your skin. I feel like that would make oily skin worse right? I have very dry skin so I don't know much about oily skin.

Different moisturisers will feel different.

Some will just soak right in, some will leave your skin horribly wet and others will feel kind of dry... which is odd.

If it works, it works, though I recommend you experiment with different ones, giving each a trial period of a week (unless one gives you a rash or something).

unless it gives you a rash or something like that, i don't think it isn't working or anything. is your skin soft and healthy afterwards? if not, then yeah either you're putting too much, or it isn't working. other than that it shouldn't be something to worry about. if you really don't enjoy it, even after putting less on, change it.

Its not giving rashes or anything, just this heavy feeling. Not sure if my face feels soft tho cos I've never felt it before.

I'd still switch brands. :/ That sounds icky feeling.

If you have oily skin, then you're probably better off switching to a lighter moisturizer. However, the "heavy" feeling might just be your face getting used to moisturizer :). Do you experience this with other moisturizers as well, or just this one?

BTW, is it the Innisfree green tea moisturizer?

I agree. If it feels heavy, then it can't be very pleasant to wear.I would try something else. Also, some stores will give you your money back. I know wal-mart will take back make up and lotions.

I use "Yes to Carrots" moisturizer daily, and it feels quite light to me. It also has SPF in it~

It should soak into your skin for the most part and not feel heavy, I would try a lighter formula. It also might be because you have combination skin, which I have, so it will feel heavy some places and be right on other places. I have dry areas and greasy areas so I tend to only moisturize the dry areas and avoid the oily ones and it makes my face more even.

I've had some which felt more heavy before now, I've found it depends what sort it is and where you're using it. I have one sort if I use it on my arms the skin feels heavy. I only ever use a light coating so it's not from using too much. Perhaps try some different ones? I have eczema so I had to try several before finding one that didn't really upset my skin.

I've used a "heavier" type before from Kiehl's I think, but it was a night time moisturizer that you just leave on overnight. I definitely prefer the lighter types though. Currently I'm using Aesop's toner and moisturizer and it's pretty awesome, doesn't feel heavy or dry.

What brand is it? I only ever use Nivea as it solves my dry skin problem; I tend to use it more in the colder months. I'd carry on using it, unless you notice that it's causing any damage to your skin. All moisturizers are different so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. :)

either you bought the wrong one or you're applying too much. try applying lesser and see if you still experience that heavy feeling. if you still do, time to switch.

the moisturizer i use ( cetaphil ) feels really light and kind of oily when i put it on but it absorbs really quickly and leaves it soft for a while . i usually stick to light creams in general even for like my hands but it's really your preference

if your skin is oily, you might be using too much or it could just be no good for you. i've got oily skin too & i've gone through a ton of different moisturizers before i finally started using just pure jojoba oil. it's light & sinks in fast, but it makes my skin super soft. you should give it a try, it might work for you too :>

Ohhh no. It shouldn't feel heavy. I remember buying one before that felt heavy too. I suggest you try different ones and see which works best for you. I've tried a couple of expensive ones and also some from Target or a pharmacy, plenty of good ones out there really. It just depends what works well with your skin. Oh and I recently found out from a friend that if you go to Sephora, they give samples for a lot of items. :>
