I kinda hate my current one and I wanna change it to ... literally anything else lol.

so how do i change it...

also im open to suggestions for new names

You’d have to purchase a username change from the “Shop” tab with TBT (forum bells/currency).

oh ok. wth is tbt tho cuz im clueless lmao
It’s the forum currency, known as “Bell Tree bells” but TBT is the more common reference vs. BTB lol. Underneath your username, it says “Bells” and the amount you have.

Whenever you make a post in most areas of the site, you gain bells that are calculated automatically (and recalculated if you edit your post). You can also earn TBT via participation in forum events such as contests, trading and using TBT to buy/sell in-game items, etc.

ok :) can people like donate tbt to me cuz i think im broke lol

That's a possibility, but it's 1200tbt to change a name :) That's a lot of bells to just donate to be honest haha.
Look at the forum for interesting topics, just keep posting and maybe there's something to sell in the game for some tbt? :)

Seeing as you're a newer member, it'd be better to simply wait a bit for our Seashell system to come back rather than asking for donations. :) Every member normally receives 10 Seashells upon joining the forum - which is the amount needed for a username change - but this system has been offline since our forum software migration. If you can hold out for just a little longer you'll be able to purchase the Username Change item with Seashells and won't have to earn any additional TBT bells.

How new is considered a new member? I never got seashells when I joined

Just to be curious: does this seashell system work with retroactively? (I hope that's the correct word... used google translate 🤣). So that even the members who joined after the system was shut down get the seashells they normally would have gotten? :)

It's been stated in the April Bell Tree Direct that new members will have seashells distributed. Just the timeframe has moved since the team has been working on other improvements to the system.

As stated above, you should receive them retroactively once the system is back up, the seashell system has been down since early April/late March (when TBT upgraded to 3.0 after New Horizons release)

April Bell Tree Direct said:
The Seashell currency will also stop being distributed for the time being due to the new system working differently. In about a week we'll be updating how this works and redistribute Seashells to new users and those who reach their 2-year milestone. Thanks for being patient through this upgrade and please feel free to report any new issues you come across while using the new systems.

Ah thank you. I've read it a while ago but it's like halve a book so I didn't remembered it haha :)
