I want to play animal crossing so bad but when I turn my game on I do nothing and then shortly after turn it off. At this point I'm just waiting for the next game to come out. How do you keep yourself playing?

I finished my island finally and I'm in the period of just relaxing but also wishing I had a second island.. (I want to design again)
One of the things that would get me back is if I continued to design my villager's vacation homes/dream careers in HHP. Then I take pictures of them on my island to reinforce what I'm trying to portray them as and share the images on social media or here. I was doing that for awhile and it was really fun. It's just I spend hours decorating interiors and tend to fry my brain a bit. I would say it depends on your brain-power perseverance (which I don't even know if that's a real thing, LOL)

Do you like designing stuff, or do you want to complete Achievements? I'm very focused on completing stuff so I keep playing every day because I'm afraid of missing out on something otherwise. I fully intend to take a break in July though.

Well I always have to update my Island every month for holidays and there's more stuff always to make and seasonal areas to redecorate and places I just like going to on my Island for its own sake. I have memory fragments and nostalgia here like there was a store I used to love going to and it is gone it went out of business! But when I get cravings to go eat the food there even though I can't actually eat the food there I'll go to the store and then maybe make my own version or something or try to find that particular food. Am I the only one who does seasonal decorations of certain areas? Is it not a common thing
I have a second island I just reset it to see if I get back into it, no time traveling this time!
I went as far as getting the island home designing unlocked, changed up all the homes of my villagers and then left it at that. im more of an exterior decorator than an interior one.
I usually go on social media to get inspired and post pictures but I haven't been doing that recently I guess seeing others play really does help. what's your social media? I'm on Tumblr @arbolitacrossing

I love designing stuff but collecting the nook mile achievements is a huge goal for me, I get really overwhelmed by it though, I'm really far away on some of them. Good luck with your achievements!

I don't have seasonal area so that I don't have to keep updating my island. The thing is, I get on my island walk around, enjoy everything, do nothing and then get off. I wanna be more proactive in the game. I feel like seasonal areas is a 50/50 thing. I love the idea just not the practice
Usually I try to set goals for myself. Try to get nook mile achievements done. I’m done with terraforming on my main island so it’s just decorating for seasons. I haven’t felt inspired in awhile so I’m taking a break from NH at the moment and playing other games. I might restart my second island and create a new journal for it. For some reason I’m not as attached or wanting to play this one as I have been my other islands.
