I only get allowance when I get good grades at school.
Stuff like that happens to me, except they buy it for me.
Buy what for you, good grades? No offense intended, I'm just trying to figure out what you mean. And I think getting allowance just for the sake of getting an allowance is BS. Getting it for doing chores (things you should be doing anything without any incentive) and getting good grades is okay, I guess. The only thing truly deserving of an allowance is doing things that are unasked of you. i.e. If your chores consist of making your bed, doing the laundry, folding clothes, then an outward step from that would be mowing the lawn, other yard work, etc.

gigs

cafes, background music, weddings, house parties, whatever
Out of curiosity, how are you paid?
what do you mean? cash/check???
For gigs, do tell them how much you want to get paid or do they pay you according to how many people show up, etc.
It depends. 9 times out of 10, I set the price. I have an hourly rate depending on the event -- I charge the least for regular background music, more for concerts, even more for weddings, etc... Some gigs are "tip only", but those are usually cafe or restaurant gigs. I rarely consent to tips-only gigs anymore, though...

Oops, I meant that they only buy stuff for me if I have good grades or Christmas or something.

I think you should do chores without being payed because you're supposed to do them, unless you do something extra.

And the most important reason I dislike allowance is because pretty much everyone in my old school bragged about it and because of that, they were "cool". I'd like to give them a good sock in the face.

Chores? Aww, I wish I got paid for that. I used to sell bookmarks at school back in 3rd grade, though :3.

I work as a nurse, but that's just mostly my play money.
I will not lie, after saying that, it sounds like you're doing something sketchy for your actual expenses xD.

You loser. No my actual expenses are not from sketchy escapades. I only have one job, my job as a nurse.

I send Horus onto a corner and take the money from him.

Actually, I don't really make money. I get $80 dollars every month, though.

My job is at home. I replace vinyl on magnetic letters and organize the magnets by size, then my mom sends them to the company.
