i say it with the 'h' :eek: i didn't even know people said it differently, i guess it's hard to catch because it's a soft sound. whenever i spell out something for kiddos i have a bad habit of saying 'heh' instead of anything because they seem to understand that better and it's become a dumb habit lol
 
I always say "aitch." I honestly didn't know it was pronounced differently (outside of other languages, of course).

yeah I guess it is the new trend lol. It was just a random thought I had after reading through the "z" thread. I was initially confused when I first heard my Australian friend say haitch so I wondered if it was a common thing or not :p
 
With the H in front, it bothers me so much to hear Americans say just aitch, and especially when there’s a word that needs an “an” or “a” in front of it you know? Like for example I would say “a H” but y’all will say “an H” and it drives me wild

haa in polish, but in english its haitch for me, its how i was taught it. apparently thats the english/british pronounciation and aitch is the more american/other parts of the world thing
