How do you shape the river to make it more curved?

Hi everyone


I'm struggling to give my river the natural curved meander look that it has at the start of the game in places where I've now terraformed. do i have to stand diagonal or something? is there a knack?

i keep end up making it very square! its very time consuming especially when I'm not getting it right.

can anyone help or share any tips please.

Its hard to explain but hit the area where its squared off again to cover it with dirt, then dig one more time and it should be rounded this time.
