I want to use motion controls but I don't have much room and I play using a pro controller so getting joycons out for it is a hassle

I use the buttons, but so far I can’t get the timing down right lol I feel like everyone else in the village rehearsed and I’m the goofball messing up their performance.

The key is to press the buttons ahead of time. Pressing them in time with the music actually delays the movement.

I can’t get the timing right either. One day I might. My villagers don’t always get it right either so it’s ok.

i haven't done it yet... but maybe buttons :> *don't get in my way, stupid drift!~ 😠 *

but if i wanted to, motion control :>

switch lite user, so motion controls aren't an option for me. i probably wouldn't use them even if they were though. the buttons were a bit confusing at first, but i've got the hang of it now. my trick is just to press/twirl them way in advance lmao.

I have the switch lite so I use buttons but I have joy cons so I will try the motion controls. I feel like either way I still won't do the stretches right. Lol!!

Buttons, but me and my partner are actively planning to buy a separate controller for our Switch Lites so that we can do morning aerobics. I really really really *goes on* wants to do it with my villagers, especially the part where you go B B B B A A
like.. the little hops just make me feel so HAPPY i get so much serotonin from it for no reason

My wrist is broken and not yet casted (or surgery) so I have to do button controls since my Physician told me not to use my right hand for anything and keep it in a splint (one handed Animal Crossing has not been a pleasant experience lol). Once I have a cast on though I'm looking forward to trying motion!

My decision was made for me by the Switch Lite. I really love the group stretching, especially when some of them are out of sync. It's adorable.

I mainly use a Switch Pro controller when playing, so usually buttons, though I did try it once using motion control just to see how it worked. Buttons are easy enough, as others have mentioned you just need to press the buttons ahead of time to stay in sync. Motion control was interesting and admittedly fun, it's basically the same motions as your island rep does in-game, though for whatever reason it wouldn't register any of my jumps, so my island rep just awkwardly stood there during that segment, lol

Motion, but I'm terribly ashamed to say that for some reason, my character doesn't jump in game even when I'm frantically jumping on real life like a fool.
