How does 2018 compare to your other years?

This year I actually 'adulted' in life and got a job. But I need to get a new job here soon.

Honestly, this entire year has been ridiculously tough for me. I've struggled on almost every front. Thank goodness for a supportive husband and Animal Crossing. They have been about the only things that have helped me through this mess.

Here's hoping 2019 will be a better year for everyone.

The year isn't over, so I'm hesitant to describe it all now, but I would say that it was "eye-opening" altogether for me compared to previous years.

hmm I might go as far as to call it the best year of my life so far- not due to any serendipitous happenings but because all the work I've put into making things better for myself especially during the last two years has actually begun to pay off. :)

This year honestly felt like an entire decade, so I had to think on this. I feel like the second half was pretty good-- I picked up some new hobbies, did the best I've ever done in school, started meeting some personal goals, and just overall feel more confident about myself. There are still some things I'd like to accomplish in the coming years, but yeah, 2018 wasn't so bad!

Honestly?
Considering I graduated from high school this year, it should pretty good overall. I'm also now in college, away from my abusive father. However, there's still been so much emotional drama that has covered this year that kinda ruined things. (I had someone quite literally stalk me most of this year). Also, a lot of promises my family made wound up being broken (much like 2016). I guess it was ok overall, but it was disappointing in many ways.

Considering how 2017 ended (with drama), my 2018 came to an awful start. I was full of rage and sadness for the first few months. I became happier and just about completely over it by May-June. I got into K-Pop around mid-summer because I used to be super into J-Pop in my middle school days and decided to go back, and then bumped into K-Pop as I dove deeper. So I got into BTS, BLACKPINK, and other groups this year, which is a total change in music taste from previous years (aside from the J-Pop phases; there was also a J-Rock phase somewhere in there lolol). Listening to K-Pop and finding more "American" music (if that's even what you call it) made me even happier and able to escape a lot of bad thoughts and negative energy. I was able to thoroughly clean my living space too around that time, and got even better as a musician and artist as I had time alone to develop myself. I have gotten more self confidence over the course of the year. In all honesty, when I first joined this forum, I wasn't the best person and from the time my hiatus started, I had become a better person, and the self improvement really shows this year, so that's another good thing I can say about the year. I decided to take a lot of the harder classes (currently in sophomore year) and almost failed math because of how much I decided to take on. I successfully ended my first semester with two B's and four A's so I'm happy with that, but there was definitely some struggle. And the end of the year is just about the best of the year, actually. I restarted my animal crossing town, came back here today. In October, I had my first slowdance at Homecoming with someone I'm bound to be friends with for a long time and the guy I really liked my freshman year started talking to me, and maybe something will come of that! In November, things were just really nice, and now I'm here, content with my Christmas, my life and myself. I still have my doubts on myself and other aspects of life, but I can only go up from here. In all, 2018 is definitely one of the better years, despite the rough start.

Considering how 2016 was awful and 2017 was even worse, 2018 was surprisingly ok. The best way I can describe it is that there were lots of changes, and I also realized a lot of things I never noticed before.

one of the worst years of my life and that's saying a lot.

2014 and 2018 are definitely up there in the same boat.

2018, and I truly mean this, was one of the if not the worst year of my life.

I have high hopes for 2019, though.

It was definitely a year of change and growth for me. It was an experience in itself, and it happened to be a bad year and a great year at the same time. I have regrets from 2018, but without those, I would not be where I am today. And today, I am very happy with where I am.
